  1. 0/10 ...No talent musically, no lyrical capability, just plain awful in my opinion. Fuel.
  2. I'm hoping America can "weather the storm" of another 4 years. At least there is some satisfaction to be taken that Bush probably will be out for good afterwards.
  3. I dunno, maybe this will catch on... what you do is name a band, then someone rates it from 1 to 10 (1 being the worst/lowest rating 10 big the best/highest). So after you rate the band above posted by whoever, you then post a band of your own choosing for the next person to rate and it goes on. I'll start it off. Modest Mouse.
  4. I'm confused as how many threads of this nature we actually need...
  5. Oregon, oddly enough is a fairly liberal state and its electoral votes went to Kerry... I'm also pretty sure the ban here passed by the narrowest margin (which is still not very narrow on the whole) of all the other states that had similar ballot measure. This is probably because the gay rights groups tried to win marriage here more than any other state, with the huge amount campaigning and such.
  6. But The Ring was plot-holed and not very scary....
  7. While everyone was bashing on Bush and how disappointed they are, most people seemed to have missed the fact that 11 states (including my state, Oregon) voted on ballot measures and banned homosexual marriage. Full Story
  8. Alot of it will probably be decided by California, they got like 50 electoral votes, I think only 3 presidents in the last 70 years won the election without the California votes.
  9. Not really, the electoral vote determines who actually wins, which is supposed to be determined by the popular vote. For example, I'll use my state, Oregon. We have a relatively small population, so the number of votes we have in the electoral college is likewise small (7 of a total of 270). California, by contrast has a very large population, and as a result around 50 electoral votes. These votes are done by electors who are of whichever political party wins in the state. So supposing that Kerry wins the popular vote in Oregon, then 7 electors from the Oregon electoral college will get their chance to vote. If Bush wins Oregon, then 7 Republican electors will cast their votes. They are not however obligated to vote in any way at all, it's just most likely they'll vote for the candidate of their respective parties. But if a Democrat elector wanted to vote Bush, he has that right. edit: forgot to note that there are actually 500+ votes in the electoral college, and that 270 is merely the number required to get a majority and thereby win.
  10. sheisse.... nevermind, it keeps changing.
  11. CNN now has Kerry in the lead as far as electoral votes go.
  12. I'd have to go with Requiem For A Dream.
  13. I gotta pick sides?? Who are you?? George W. ??
  14. Hillary Duff's young, give her time, soon enough she'll be shooting up like there's no tomorrow.
  15. "World At Large" - Modest Mouse
  16. 750+ dayum!
  17. The Planet Of Junior Brown.
  18. I rarely watch TV, much less reality TV.
  19. My friends all tell me this movie was not remotely scary; I was told the commercials for it were scarier than the film itself.
  20. But with the going down to Edison and the having to go away in spring parts, sort of makes it seem like he's referring to some specific series of events that actually happened to him at some point.
  21. If he's a good actor, he hides it well in this film.
  22. Also... who is the Mrs. Smith of "So Long Mrs. Smith" ??
  23. The only thing I know that comes close to it is the expression, "nickel and dimed to death" ...but I'm pretty sure that's not it.
  24. Some people just invite abuse.
  25. Now what I'd like to know is what the hell does "dimed" mean? He says it in "Sort Of A Protest Song" I always wondered about that.
