I also have three of them, just missing the Australian release with 4 tracks. (unless there are more secret ones out there). I also have an Australian Beautiful Midnight on the way. Not that it is really different from the Canadian besides the copyright info. But hey I'm crazy like that and need it all. If you actually do want me to take the wallpapers down Jesse, I can of course do that

Dammit during the week. I work evenings, meaning I have to take the time off. i WILL make this work out dammit! Our Lady Peace has sent an email with the dates and presale password of DROP2017, so I assume Matt's will be something related to Something Like A Storm or a single,
-
i was hoping the video on Matt's page would be reversed and not start OLP haha I've had many chances to see OLP but they always came at a time of not having money for it, or the timing is just impossible to work with. So this shall be exciting

i have one on the way too that i'll scan and put on Disorientation if you want to wait and leave yours sealed haha I think adam_777 has it too

Upcoming Concerts
PlasticSoldier replied to a topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Got my tickets for Foo Fighters! Here in Edmonton. September is a long ways away.... Edit: Nov 16, Okay I've now added the Saturday Feb 24th Big Wreck show to my upcoming list, as well as Thursday, March 29th for Lights (i was waiting to see what MGs dates would be because I was fearing a conflict, but luckily he is just before that in same week.) I'll probably only go to one of the MG/OLP shows because i've now spent a lot of money in one shot -
I wish I could have gone to the Arrows Of Desire show here in Edmonton, but it was Nov 14, 2013, and I got married Nov 23, 2013. Not that that is a regret, other than missing a show, haha don't want that to sound bad! So money was a bit tight/tied up in other things that year. Mostly would just be missed shows I think. The American release has a parental advisory on the front. Songs from Underdogs replace some songs too. Deep Six (listed as Deep 6ix) replaces I Miss New Wave, Apparitions replaces Let's Get It On, Going All The Way is replaced by Everything Is Automatic, BUT placed between The Future Is X-Rated and Born To Kill. A Boy and His Machine Gun and Born To Kill titles are censored on the tracklisting. (A Boy And His ------- ---, Born To ----) Some songs are mixed differently. The back cover has slightly different artwork for the top portion. http://mattgood.plastic-soldier.com/artwork/beautifulmidnight.php - Canadian release artwork http://mattgood.plastic-soldier.com/artwork/beautifulmidnightamerican.php - American release artwork

Yes it is my site. The oldest running MG(B) fansite around! In January it will be 17 years old (end of month) and I will be 32 (beginning of month) to put that into perspective haha I of course do my own sites. I've neglected doing anything on my personal site forever. I have a design portfolio site too. which I haven't done much outside of my own stuff in some time. Once upon a time, I helped Matt Good with the official site here and there. I did a version of the official Limblifter site when they got back together. I have uploaded the vinyl scans now too if anyone wants to see that too! http://mattgood.plastic-soldier.com/artwork/vinyl-somethinglikeastorm.php

Lyrics are all in the booklet that comes with the CD, as well as on the vinyl sleeve I haven't transcribed everything to my site's lyric page, but images are here if you don't have a physical copy :) http://mattgood.plastic-soldier.com/artwork/somethinglikeastorm.php

Geek U.S.A. (podcast) discusses 'all things' Matthew Good
PlasticSoldier replied to Williammunny11's topic in Matthew Good
i'll take a listen in a bit but the description says the album is "Something Like A Stork" haha -
As much as I love MGB tunes with the amount of post-MGB songs I'd be okay with them making an encore appearance or like a double encore type deal. first one is mgb songs, followed by some rarely played solo material. It'd probably be shocking after some shows to realize you didn't here some but it's a large catalogue! That's about the only thing I found annoying with a bunch of the crowd when I saw Jimmy Eat World, SOOOOO many people were just there for the hits and that's all they wanted. Screw the new album they are promoting!
-
And you get in just as girl made that easy to find things spreadsheet. Ignore it so you have the thrill of the finding something for it to be a dead link haha

That threw me off when the song started haha

Matt Good Covers "Blown Wide Open" by Big Wreck
PlasticSoldier replied to Gomo's topic in Matthew Good
I remember when Ian Thornley's solo album came out, and it had Blown Wide Open on it, i was like "does this count as a cover?" I guess, to me, it doesn't, as I don't count Matt playing MGB songs as covers. Just a new version by the artist that wants to revisit it like Matt did with the I Miss New Wave EP. It is on the soundtrack, track 3. https://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/learn-me-right/id527775518?i=527775955 -
Happy 20th Anniversary Underdogs!
PlasticSoldier replied to MatthewGoodFan101's topic in Matthew Good
Does seeing MGB Dec 5 1999 count as in the 90s? haha my other MGB show was June 21, 2001 -
ah good catch! it's like when you need a second pair of eyes to check something, but instead in this case we need another pair of ears. I'd never heard of the magazines (besides Better Living) so that'd never have crossed my mind
-
I can hear that "old lighters" now that you've said that, which makes sense as fire starter material to go with the following lines bear who was out eating just seemed like such an odd line so i wasn't really sure if that is what is was haha
-
Some is hard to tell, others just don't seem right as they sound to my ear. Like the second line there sounds like ladders, but letters seems more correct in the context of the surrounding lyrics. Someone correct my attempt! haha you buried me in a suit made of old letters magazines mostly pages of mother tones in the nation better living bits of patience which you need drove away in the Valiant my old man that he gave me slant six busted tail light ivory green when the days come down when they run out catch you catching me when the days come down i was interred in a church without no ceiling with a (bear?) who was out ??? watching from the trees as i stood upon the water there silhouettes my daughter waving back at me well sometimes i get it what it is i came for like the screaming of your firstborn sounds like singing when the days come down you laid right out catch you catching me when the days come down catch you catching me oh oh catch you catching me

One this cover Two this cover: One (EMI/Independent) has same back layout as the original cover, other (Darktown) has a slightly altered back cover. The copyright/barcode placement is easiest to see as Adam said You can see them here: http://mattgood.plastic-soldier.com/artwork/lastoftheghettoastronautsoriginal.php http://mattgood.plastic-soldier.com/artwork/lastoftheghettoastronauts.php http://mattgood.plastic-soldier.com/artwork/lastoftheghettoastronautsemi.php

i'm very confused as how I don't have a copy of The Night Opus, unless I had it and it got lost in my move way back in the day :( and more things i forget off the top off my head? i had lots of magazines with mgb/mg but they pretty much all got destroyed when i moved out of a place and was coming back to get the last of my stuff which was magazines (they were delayed in me taking because i broke my had moving). The remaining roomates decided to go through and take whatever of the magazines they wanted, and use the others for the fire pit
-
That's exciting that we have a date now! Almost seems like it was going for a "surprise it's out NOW!"
-
I'm very torn on this. Plus ticketmaster seems to be telling me no. I get to the payment step and it just goes to an error If it is supporting only the cost is a bit high ($70/ea after fees) for really only knowing one Midnight Oil song, and that's only having heard Alexisonfire's cover first.

I have Jimmy Eat World on Saturday! Pretty excited for seeing them for the first time, and in a smaller venue rather than a larger place. Nothing currently beyond that that has caught my eye or given me the "i must see them!" feeling... yet... -
I missed out on hearing the demo, so I'm glad I get to hear it in some form. Awesome as always!
