  1. The first song that he played during the encore -- was that Big City Life?
  2. Yeah, I was there. It was amazing. Except for one thing: he didn't play Buffalo Seven or We're so Heavy from WLRRR (those are probably in my top 5 on the album). But it was still amazing. I'm glad he played Weapon, that was just stellar. Would like to have heard Near Fantastica or another track from Avalanche though.
  3. Yeah, I'm 18 and it's very frustrating sometimes. But hey, I'm going to see his Kee to Bala show (in 2 days!!) so I don't really have anything to be frustrated about now!
  4. That's because most of them aren't available. Only a few are, the rest just have screenshots.
  5. Really? Judging by your avatar, I never would have guessed!
  6. Yipes, reading my post again.. very unclear. I've heard stuff from Limblifter's previous two albums, but nothing from the new one at all. That's what I meant to say.
  7. I thought it was great, one of my favourite movies of all time. I was really psyched when I saw that he won the Oscar that year.
  8. I'm thinking of buying Limblifter's new album, I/O, but I'm not much for purchasing albums without having heard a single thing from them... Is there a lead single for it that I can listen to somewhere? Or are there any samples of the album posted anywhere? The official website is very rudimentary, and MapleMusic.com doesn't contain any. Any help appreciated
  9. iTunes? pfft! MPlayer all the way!
  10. Just thought it was kinda interesting that In Love With a Bad Idea has been on the prestigious Feely Top Forty for a few weeks (3) now -- it just rose from 37 to 31. I know this is an unofficial chart, but it's a rather famous one -- and as far as MG tunes go, he usually sticks with the singles for songs that enter the charts. So, I wonder where he got the idea that In Love With a Bad Idea is to be the next single... EDIT: oh yeah, here's a link... http://the-w.com/thread.php/id=22046
  11. I personally hope it is not It's Been A While... I think Bad Idea would get much more airplay, especially on alternative/rock stations.
  12. Actually in Beautiful Midnight, it went Time Bomb, Load Me Up, Strange Days, X-Rated But if you modified your theory to say that he usually sandwiches slower songs in between more uptempo songs, I think you'd be absolutely right. The only time that doesn't really work is Ghetto Astronauts where it goes Alabama, Symbolistic, Haven't Slept in Years... none of those are exactly slow, but Alabama's probably the most mid-tempo-ish.
  13. Well I don't see what's weak about my argument..listen to both versions and listen to the ending -- he says "all I know" three final times. In the acoustic version on the first and third times, he goes down the scale. ie: when says "kno-ow" the "ow" is a lower note than the "kno." But the second time, he sings it as he does in the verses and does the "kno" as a lower note than the "ow." He also says the third one in a much throatier voice on the album than he does on the acoustic version. Here are some other arguments: - He doesn't play the guitar riff at the beginning quite like he does on the album; he lets a couple notes hang a lot longer in the acoustic version. That's a pretty weak argument, yeah, because they could have edited it - Listen to the part where he says "child it ain't no thing" -- on the acoustic version, he goes like "child it ain't no thing" but on the album he goes "child it ain't nooooo thing" And that's about all I could pick up. The rest sounds exactly the same.
  14. near fantastica indeed.
  15. HAHA... I thought he said "sodomy" too, at first, in Symbolistic! I also thought he said "sidekick" in place of "psychic."
  16. Well we do.. so stfu!
  17. When I first heard Apparitions, I thought Matt was saying "Grass in your brain turns weird" as opposed to "The rat in your brain turns a wheel"
  18. Jep.. me too.
  19. Hmm... I've listened to it, and there's no way that the acoustic video is the version on the album (the master take, so to speak..). Just listen to how he sings "It's all I know" at the end -- in the album version he goes down the scale every time he says it. On the acoustic one, he sings it once going down the scale, then again as he does it in the verse. It's hard to explain, though, I hope someone knows what I'm talking about ;)
  20. Avalanche alone is enough a reason for me to say that solo MG is better. That album is simply a classic in my eyes.
  21. No, no.. Mark had it right... NF$!
  22. Probably by posting many posts that do nothing but post for the sake of posting. Like this one!
  23. For those interested... I've produced an MP3 of the audio in the video. I fired up audacity and tried to remaster it a bit but I figured what the hey... The imperfect quality of the recording is what makes it so cool. Therefore it's been left completely untouched. It's available at http://www.angelfire.com/falcon/greenwicht...ad-acoustic.mp3 EDIT: Ugh.. gay Angelfire. Try this one instead: http://www.angelfire.com/falcon/greenwichtime/index.html
  24. Hmm... I didn't know this topic would stir so much controversy.. to clear a few things up (hopefully): the version I got is not a radio edit -- it does have the line in it, but I didn't have the volume high enough to hear it. For some reason I didn't remembering him whispering. But then, I don't have the world's greatest memory.
  25. Hmmm... s/guest/date and we'll have a deal ;)
