  1. Yams are the devil. I had to read a whole translated african novel about yams, and it was monstrous. Half a bagel.

    Beowulf

It scored under 7 on Cinemaclock, which means it is most likely awful.

    Classic.
  4. The singing fish you put on the wall. Ugh. Also, the Vortec Cyclone and all similar devices which promise ridiculous horsepower and efficiency gains by wedging a $10 bit of bent metal in front of the throttle body. But then, if they weren't making easy money off the naive and ignorant, they wouldn't sell them. So who's to say how stupid it is...

A genuine, legitimate Licence To Kill issued by some globally recognised multinational agency with a cool acronym for a name. Maybe INTERPOL or UNATCO if it existed. On a little card, so I can show people at parties.
  6. What the hell? I came in here expecting to read about GST cuts. I don't even want to know where this one derailed.
  7. I only get songs stuck in my head when I'm trying to sleep. Many hours of delerious half-waking mental kareoke ensue, cut with horrific dreams, until I awake unrefreshed and enraged beyond consolation. Caffeine follows.
  8. Lois Superman? Lana Superman? So what's his first name?
  9. Ah yes. I like how the first of their "Professional athletes" is a middle aged female golfer. Come on.
  10. Superman is without value. Like building an orbital weapons platform of vast power, then painting it pink and using it's terrible particle beams to slash giant hearts in to the landscape and draw a cartoon puppy on the moon. Batman may be less capable, but at least what he does is a phyisical possibility at least some of the time.
  11. I was thinking more Predator 2 Danny Glover, but Lethal Weapon Danny Glove is a good choice as well.
  12. Really? I dunno what car you're using, but it's not that bad on any vehicle I've filled. And you can buy a funnel for one dollar if you needed one. Integrated funnel would be a waste of space and material. Blue turn signal bulbs. Chrome testicles for your trailer hitch. Easy-bake oven that fits in a PC optical drive bay and makes one cookie. "Vortec Cyclone" and all other air intake obstructions that claim to increase a vehicle's horsepower by reidiculous amounts while saving fuel.
  13. Every character should be Danny Glover.
  14. Nothing will. Remember? Fry said it himself: "But that's not why people watch TV. Clever things make people feel stupid and unexpected things make them feel scared."
  15. Find yourself a human brain and, through arcane and diabolical technological innovation, hook it up to your computer as a biological storage system.
  16. I think mine was less, but that one's long gone.
  17. You can have my old 4.3GB 5300RPM Quantum Fireball for the price of you picking it up

Dodge Charger SRT-4 Computer Would make a nice secondary...
  19. Well, I hope you enjoy it, but maintain skepticism. For as long as one can resist the embedded idealogical zealotry, thought experiments such as this can be profoundly interesting.

Nothing like a tactical subcarbine to get my creative juices flowing.
  22. I'm fairly certain it was as manipulative as anything else, but entertaining nontheless.
  23. Right, I understand your position on all that, but you can't classify something as a deadly weapon when it is lethal in an extremely low percentage of cases. If you could, then police would already be barred from using batons, flashlights, their vehicles, even their bare hands to subdue an opponent. If 1/100,000 people die from eating carrots, the FDA doesn't call it lethal poison and ban it. The taser exists to provide a less-lethal alternative to shooting someone with 9mm parabellum. It has done that. No system is perfect, so I don't know what you want here. Are you saying that police should only be allowed to use force equal to that of the suspect, but in greater numbers? Again, I'm not saying that they aren't over-using the tasers. It's quite likely that they are, because the device is safer, more efficient, more effective, and causes less injury compared to brute force in most cases. Apparently, too useful for it's own good. But banning them is not an answer. Regulate, sure. Impose strict guidelines for when, where, and how they may be used. I suppose if the man who died had been aiming a gun at the officer, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

I know a person who will pretty much buy anything that is pink, regardless of what it is. Or even if she knows what it is. And while not all girls like pink, almost no men like pink. Though considering the kind of men who often do like pink, this could backfire on me. Yellow and black it is.
