You're not missing much with the flamethrower.

I don't remember exactly...but if not Sparq, then chances are it was some variation of Claw Shrimp, possibly with an FCT tag in front of it. [FCT]ClawShrimp for example. I was one of the worst....well, not really...but I was not generally in the lead. I was more suited to CTF and team games than free for alls.

In the PC version it just doesn't allow you to enter the teleporter. Of course the PC version also has team damage on all the time. I can't count how many times I've grabbed a tank, only to have some degenerate lowlife on my own team stick a plasma grenade on it because HE wants the tank.
-
Yes. When I walk through a teleporter, I consider it bad form if there is someone sitting in a scorpion behind the exit point. A shotgun blast to the back of the head upon spawning is equally irritating.
-
Yes...Generally in multiplayer FPS games I make it my business to hunt those who use tactics generally considered to be cheap or unfair.
-
Ghosts don't beat MY tank too often....but I see what you mean. PC Halo also has the rocket hogs, but those aren't usually much of a threat. The thing is, while I'm a good tanker, I'm also a good tank killer...which means when I get killed in my tank, it generally doesn't take me long to get another one.
-
While I am not a good sniper, I am a good counter sniper for some reason. As for the Scorpion...I don't play aginast my friends. PC Version means I play against whoever is out there. Greatest threat is a sniper, followed by a pair of Banshees...but I guess you guys don't get banshees in the X-Box version.
-
It's all about the Scorpion.

If that's the way to want to see it...but both involve the infliction of violence either out of defence or aggression. As far as I'm concerned, war is the same thing - on a larger scale, and government sanctioned. Kill a man for his wallet, or devastate a country for its oil...the only differences are the numbers involved and government approval. The same situation can be applied here: A hostile country declares war on your own, invades, and slaughters everyone as they make their way toward the capital. Civilians, military, adults, children...EVERYONE. Are you still going to say that fighting back isn't justified? That self defence is 'wrong'? It's the 'ambushed friend' scenario all over again...large scale. -

Euphoric Jim - Life it's actually a 150 minute set...not just a song. -
It depends who the author was too...they took some liberties. In one book a gauss would gut a heavy mech or shear off a limb, and in another the same weapon will dent the armor of a medium mech. Ah well.
-
Having not played it too much, I base this somewhat on opinion...but the concept of mechs greater than 100 tons, and alient technology and weapons just seems tacked-on over the long established Battletech universe. As for the Autocannons...I never considered them to be the ultimate (though in MW3 the LBX AC-10s were murder). Most of my own mechs were armed almost exclusively with Clan ER Large Lasers and loaded with heat sinks. For multiplayer games (MW4) I often built LRM missile boats as well. And if you've read the books...generally the Gauss Rifle was the weapon that could cripple a mech with very few hits. Even the AC-20 didn't compare.

EDIT: Ignore this, I was too slow.
