  1. That movie is fucking brilliant. Last movie: 1/2 of Little Miss Sunshine (Also fucking brilliant)
  2. This is also my trap. Doesn't help that I work at a call center. Guitar playing is a relief!
  3. I think the last thing I bought was a vinyl copy of Abbey Road some smart individual decided to leave at the used record shop around the corner from where I work. I think I might have bought a copy of Beatles '65 during the same visit. (This extremely intelligent individual also left a copy of an Americian Beatle release called "Introducing the Beatles"...unfortunately, the shopkeeper appraised it before I saw it so the best offer I could get on it was something like $1,500.)
  4. "Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away and after all, I'm only sleeping" ~ The Beatles
  5. I want one now. I'd go nicely with my United kit. ;) (Yes, I know he's all about Arsenal...but I'm not so it's going to have to go along side my United Kit.) It'd be awesome if he revised that idea sometime in the future. There'd so many ways you could go with a new design, etc.
  6. My guitar teacher wants to review that one with me next week. (Dammit! I wanna learn some Matt Good! Why did I have to breifly mention on our first meeting that I am a Beatle fan? ) Anyway: Snowed In/Crusin' - Joel Plaskett Emergency
  7. My personal favourites are Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali and I've had the opporunity on several occasions to visit exhibitions of their work. I talked my family into visiting the Salvador Dali Museum in Florida where they had the originals for the Hallucinogenic Toreador and Lincoln in Dalivision (among others)...all I have to say is that is some fucked up yet brilliant imagery. Also, while I was in Brugge, Belgium over the summer, there was a mini-gallery with some of his experimental watercolours. As for Warhol, my best friend and I made it a point to go to Toronto to see the Supernova exhibition which was disturbing yet interesting as the focus was "stars, death and disasters." And then, when I was in Scotland, the National Gallery had a more diverse exhibition, which included Silver Clouds. ;) I also like Roy Lichenstien's work, and all last night I was browsing pages of Storm Thorgerson's work for shits and giggles. (I have a huge promotion poster for Pink Floyd's Pulse DVD that came out a couple of years ago. It's awesome!) I could go on, but I won't.
  8. I wanna hear Matt's demo, but I work the night shift.
  9. Strange Brew - Cream (part of a huge iTunes mix)
  10. I wouldn't mind seeing this movie. I'm not picky when it comes to thrillers/action movies, (however I cannot stand horror movies) so I'd just be going into it without bias. However, I don't know anyone who wants to see it with me, so chances are I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD, and watch it properly on my computer.
  11. Azalroth: I have a simular book I have yet to get through...the difference being my book centers on Monty Python. ;) Right now, I'm going back and forth between Next by Michael Crichton, and Wonderful Tonight by Pattie Boyd.
  12. Other than the news, (which I fall asleep and wake up to everyday) last night's episode of Lost.
  13. I know this is an old thread, but I have to kind of revise it to say I adore Lost. ;)
  14. Thanks for the link! I do have one question that I do have about his past tours that wasn't really answered in reviewing the dates listed. In the Ask Men interview, they did that quick fact where they said that Matt opened for the Who on two occassions. Is that really true? If so, how far back ago was it? Pete Townshend was my hero after Paul McCartney until Hospital Music was released. Now the brillience that is Pete Townshend is third in line. Now I really want to know if Matt was able to play for his hero. ;)
  15. I made my own little list just after New Year's, and it was as follows: 1) Hospital Music (by ten country miles) 2) The Hunter's Lullaby - Raine Maida 3) Ashtray Rock - Joel Plaskett Emergency 4) Situation - Buck 65 5) Sprit If... - Kevin Drew
  16. She may be talented, but two albums for Best Album? She's not that good.
  17. I'm probably in a slim minority who really would like to see Matt show up at the Junos this year. I know he doesn't like the attention and he doesn't need the accolade, but this album is far too important to let it go without at least a little bit of a celebration. He doesn't need to perform or anything...and if he wins and doesn't want the statue, he can always auction it off for charity (or use it as a door stopper, his choice really). Just show up because he knows he made an amazing record. Besides, the Junos have turned into a one sided joke that I'm suckered into watching every year in hopes that it may one day sit up and realize that Canadian talent doesn't come with a price tag. As shitty as it may get and I'll end up bitching about it in the end, when it boils down to it, I watch it to cheer on the nominated underdogs. It'd be nice to see something truly exciting for once - and what's more exciting than to see true Canadian talent take the spotlight away from Avril and Celine? (And we know he will. Matt Good will be attending the Junos. Enough said.)
  18. Hello. First post ever. Pleased to meet you all! Anyway, I finally purchaced a semi-acoustic yesterday, and I was hoping if anyone knew of any good sites with Matt's songs written out in tab. I have Ultimate Guitar.com bookmarked, but it's missing Empty Road, Tripoli and Big City Life. Are there any more sites to reference from? Thanks. ;) <--I like this guy.
