I have to say it: I like Rico. It's not the absolute best, but it's catchy and Matt looks like Mick Jagger in the video. I'd be awesome to hear it live for shits and giggles, but I really don't care what he plays, just as long as I see him live. (He could play Yankee-fucking-doodle-dandy for five hours straight and I'd sit through the entire thing. ;) )

Odette would be a cool crossover single. I wouldn't mind seeing She's In It For The Money as a single for shits and giggles.

Of all his stuff, I actually end up listening to this one the most. It's pure, stripped down, rock and roll - and I live for rock and roll. ;)

Yeah...Matt kept saying in his blog he was having the same frequent night terror patterns. I hope he considered the advice posted on the topic page to have his doctor review his medication situation.

I can. I have lucid dreams at least two times a week. I generally love them, but they can be a total bitch too. Sometimes they can be, uh...lovely? ;) Let's just say my inner groupie comes out in the best ones... (The God's honest truth, mind you: Matt has yet to be involved in one...) A lot of the time, they're about getting myself out of potentially sticky situations, like getting out of the path of a tornado or running from a combat situation. About half way through, I can hear myself announce it's a just a dream but still go through the motions of finding cover for myself, my cat (who can all of a sudden talk to me), my sister, all the Girl Guides and Sparks in Sarnia and Paul McCartney. The worst though is when I have, what I perceive as nightmares/terrors. Because I can generally bring myself down from a state of panic during disasters and war, they're not a problem. It's when I'm dreaming about the stuff that's bothering me in real life is when it becomes fucking scary. In real life, I am bi-polar and I have massive panic attacks, and back a couple of years ago, I went like six months straight of these fucking vivid dreams revolving around the events that lead to the diagnosis. I would actually wake up and my day would be ruined before I even opened my eyes - the dreams dealt with the shit I was putting up with in real life, so why should I wake up if it wasn't going to get any better? Turns out the reason I was having them so frequently was because I was on a medication that produced night terrors as a side effect. I still have those panic dreams on occasion - I had a doozy a few months ago that set me back a few steps (long story) - but they're not as severe and I can convince myself in the dream that it's going to be alright.

I certainly hope so. His last one made for very interesting reading material for the plane and the other transportation I took while I was in Europe this past summer. ;)

One word: tailgate. Instead of ribs/burgers/etc, broccoli and cheese. Matt could be our special guest of honour if he so decides to attend. EDIT: Dude, I just got a totally awesome best case senario that will never happen, but I'm going to dream about it anyway... I work just around the block from the Theatre and every once in a while during the summer, we have frequent BBQs to raise money for the social committee, etc...just imagine the possibilities of one on that very day! But it won't. I can dream on. ;)

This I will totally agree with you on. Broccoli really does rock. Totally gets a bad wrap with kids, but in the end, nothing beats broccoli with cheese sause.

OK! ;) decomposinglight: you rock.

Got my tickets today - Front row! I'd use the dancing banana dude, but I think I've over done it already. But you get the point. ;)

If you're crossing over from Michigan, Sarnia would definitely be your best bet. In fact, when he was here in October, I actually went to a ballet in Port Huron in the afternoon made it back on Canadian soil at least two hours to spare - and that was on the Sunday of the weekend when the dollar was at even par. The theatre itself is right downtown and is extremely easy to find once you get off the highway. And as someone who's been associated with that theatre since the day it opened, there's not a bad seat in the house. (8) Heehee...by the end of tomorrow I will have two tickets to said Sarnia show...Ah, God bless you, Matthew Good. (8) ;)

Across the Universe I will admit to some disappointment at first, as it wasn't quite what I thought it would be. I was picturing a full on Moulin Rouge thing, but it wasn't nearly as wild as I was lead to believe. Having said that, the production numbers were fantastic, and although it wasn't as wild as I hoped, I adored how I thought the character of Max was going to be some kind of antagonist and was proven completely wrong. (The songs are about peace and love...why in the Hell would they have a bad guy? Duh.)

It wasn't Eddie. It was someone new. Must have been the small YouTube video that was making me confused...and excited to see yet another random link between two Losties that they will be completely unaware of until the middle of next season. ;) Next week, start watching at 8pm for the recap episode. Not only will you get caught up, you will learn all the little litterary facts and connections in the episode. Think Pop Up Video, only just a little silent ticker thingy at the bottom of your screen feeding the triva and the need to know information.

That's something I've been a little miffed about in the past few days. I have a long history with the Imperial Theatre in Sarnia and the last time I checked, the theatre manager didn't get full bands because it's just not that kind of theatre. But the last time I checked was almost five years ago now (long story). Having said thatI'd be crazy to start asking questions about ethics or traditions, though. I'm the one that's getting two Matthew Good shows in less than a year in a town that rarely makes the effort to get the little artists that mater - and, in the case of our dear Matthew, when we do, we fuck them over so badly they have to be careful, if they come back at all. And then I'm questioned by co-workers when I tell them I'm leaving this Hellhole as soon as I have the money.

It took me two months to get mine last year, but that was because people were actually panicking about the passport issue. The panic may have lessed though. To be safe, I'd get it out as soon as possible. Hint for Canadians: take your applications to your MP's office. Not only do they check it over for you to make sure you have everything, they'll mail it out for you free of charge. ;)

;) Something looks familiar... [looks up Lostpedia archives...] Is it just me or does the one guy look suspisously like this guy?
-
My thick thought process when I read this: Musicians wanted in Vancover? How perfect. ;) Oh...wait...dammit... He already has a bass player.

He's playing Sarnia at the Imperial again. It's an extremely long story that has absolutely nothing to do with Matt directly, but my first reaction was "Oh God, not again" and I had my second heart attack in six months. But the panic subsided quickly there after when I did figured out my game plan. I have got my money together, and I'm sending my sister to get my tickets Saturday. No explicits can ever emphasise just how happy I am right now. ;)

I love Faraday. He reminds me of an old friend of mine. Very quirky and awesomely awkward. The Miles guy is getting on my nerves. I think they're trying to hype him up as creepy the same way they did with Ben, only this time they're going extremely overboard. I was pissed because I set my tape wrong for last week's episode, but then I realized they now air that Lost recap thing before the new episode, so I'm a happy camper. ;)

Across the Universe. It's taking me a while to get used to it because it wasn't what I was expecting, but I generally like it.
