Nice. The Manics aren't appreciated in the music as much as they deserve. Aphex Twin - "Girl/Boy E.P." -
Who else snatched up one of those signed Avalanche vinyls? I was so surprised to see them selling at the Toronto show.
-
I'd be interested in four of the items: Small, double sided avalanche poster (signed by MG) Regular, double-sided AoB poster (signed by ALL FOUR MEMBERS) Loser Anthems Avalanche vinyl I'll await pictures for whenever you post them. In addition, what ballpark were you looking for, for those four items?

Why Did I Pay That?
Zaino replied to darrenbacker's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I paid $220.00 a ticket as a Christmas gift for me and my Father to see Queen + Paul Rodgers at the ACC. It was indeed a rip off. -
If You Could See Anyone, Who Would It Be......
Zaino replied to darrenbacker's topic in Open Discussion
Lou Reed. He hasn't graced a Toronto stage in years. If counting the musicians who have sadly passed away, I would have to say Nick Drake or Jeff Buckley. -
Hey, I need to save up money to fix my turntable so I've decided to sell off some of my autograph collection. During the Virgin Fesitval this past September on Toronto Islands, I was fortunate enough to get a VFest handbill autographed by Jimmy in the backstage area as he was passing by before dinner during the second day of the festival. I'm located in Mississauga, Ontario and wouldn't want to mail the item, but would rather meet face to face with someone and do the exchange. I'll put it at best offer but I would reserve the right to not sell it in the end. Cheers, Rob

Quite true. I remember reading somewhere that in North America, Toronto is the second highest city for income in entertainment (concerts, sporting events etc. etc....) ; Los Angeles being the first. During the last go of it in October, Matthew succesfully sold out tickets for the Massey Hall gig. Most likely the same will happen. It is the demand.

eh eh now, Wonderwall done by Ryan Adams was a fantastic rendition. I'd have to agree with the post about the New Found Glory cover album. -

Feist's Monarch On Ebay
Zaino replied to Computer's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I say you should check out a Feist fan message board. -
Rogers decided to pull the plug because of Taggart's opinion on the Toronto International Film Festival; I know that somewhere on the Chart Attack website there is a more in depth article on the subject.
-
On iTunes, all three parts of the Matthew Good edition of Taggart's Take is set as free downloads. In fact, I think all of Taggart's Take is set as free downloadable.

I wouldn't want this forum to turn into a Netphoria. Regarding my vote, I nulled it because I could not decide.

Sorry if I'm mistaken, but did I meet you before at the White Stripes show on July 5th? Were you the fellow you was going to buy all the Stripes' vinyl there? -
Even though I am a minor, regardless, I do not think that minors should be legally allowed to purchase alcohol. This is because for every minor who may be responsible enough, and able to handle themselves on the substance, there are handfuls upon handfuls of naive children who think they can handle themselves because they are "drinkers". Well, that surely explains the numerous reports I always hear on a Monday morning at high school about all these "intelligent" children getting alcohol poisoning or being charged after being caught at a suburban park with their parents Grand Marnier and backpack of chasers by the Police, right? EDIT: That comment is not an attack at the poster posting the original comment to this thread, but rather to the idea of that specific right.

Thanks for the EP offers Computer and mr.smithee. I've been seeing them go on eBay for between $25-$30 (give or take a few $) at closing, so I was hoping to say around that range. We can always figure something out so we feel equal on the financial side of things for the EP.
