Me too danimal about the soundtracks! Avalanche has some great songs for movies. When I heard Double Life I thought I heard it in a movie or a movie trailer before but I never found out if I really did. If you look inside the Avalanche cover, it says that one of the songs was used in a movie called "Jimmy Grimble" something, a soccer movie. I never heard of that movie before that though. Matt should definitely try to get involved with more movies.

Yep I've seen pics, she's pretty. She's really lucky too. ;) If he loves her and she loves him then I'm happy for them, even if it did take a few weeks for me to feel it. I wish them a long and happy marriage.

It is a great CD, but you have to admit that there is sex in there too. From Hello Time Bomb: "Push and push and push till it hurts/Push and push till it hurts" . Sounds like it to me.

Seriously it was 4 am, I had just spent most of the day listening to the new CD, and when I saw that I said WHAT!? out loud. Then I read the rest of his entry and just thought about who could have possibly taken my future husband. ;)

I think on Matt's site it said that he was aggressive, so if he had a problem with something he would just tell the other guys what was wrong without trying to be polite. The other guys didn't want to take that any more. So here we are. Matt said something in an interview that I liked: "Well no one's getting paid anymore, and suddenly I have no friends - isn't that strange?" I was wondering why he was still dwelling on that after 3 albums and I guess that helps explain a bit. Oh and guitarchick I know what you mean about BM and SEX! It's my favourite album - the sex is partly why. He sings a lot about relationships and "getting it on" so of course I think sex - and of course I think Matt... Which is all well and good until I found out he is married... :S

I've been out of the loop for a while too. I found out that he was married about a week after I got the WWRRR album. I knew something was different, but I didn't know quite what it was so I checked out his site and in his blog he said "my WIFE". I was in shock for weeks.

They can <bleep> out some of the swearing or change some words around in North American For Life, if someone can manage to do that and keep it good. ? I think it's a good one for now, it fits with the current atmosphere I guess, with Michael Moore's flick and how all of these truths are surfacing about false intelligence etc. around the invasion of Iraq. I think it's a good one, but Buffalo Seven would be good as well.

I voted Strange Days although I haven't seen some of them, such as Rico, Apparitions and Alabama Motel Room. I really would like to see the one for Apparitions sometime.

I think either Buffalo Seven or North American For Life, preferably North Am. for Life. Although Buffalo Seven was the song that caught me on the first listen... Hmm if we could go back a couple of albums however, I would choose "Jenni's Song" from BM. Putting Hopeless on a country radio station would be really good, I believe Matt calls it country-alt. I like the song. ;)

It seems like a lot of people here are in the 15-19 age range. Did anyone see him on Going Coastal on MuchMusic? I only saw the last bit, but I heard that they went back to his high school. Here's my question: If somehow Matt was a teenager again and he was in your classes, do you think you would be friends with him? I think that I would be good friends with him, maybe even be dating him...? That would be great (a girl can dream). How about you?

It's like once you've had Matt, you can never go back . ;) I haven't found anyone else with a voice as addictive and perfect as his. The music is amazing too. I like Coldplay (The Scientist) and The Verve, but neither come close to how much I like MG. I'll check out REM sometime to see if I like them and if I hear any similarities.

I Love Matt's voice too, so much. Listening to him is addictive for me, I have been listening to his CDs for the past two weeks for at least 2 hours a day. Almost nothing else but him. So I really love this new audioblog feature. I agree juanpe, it is so sweet and deep. So honest too, I think. I love it.

YES I've seen it! It's my favourite of all of his videos and it's also my favourite song. The video has a blue tint thing, I don't know what it's called but it's shot through a blue lens. There's this girl who runs away from an abusive home, she sits outside a building with a hat begging for money. A woman in a business suit walks by her into the building, ignoring her. Then the same woman comes out and walks into the street, with a car coming in her direction about to hit her. The girl sees and pushes her out of the way, getting hit herself. The whole video Matt is watching her, her guardian angel.

Lol "the maiming of dan"... u guys r alright ;). I'm also against this 19+ thing. It would be great to see Matt in concert (he's my favourite), but alas, no such luck. Ageism anyone? I would be perfectly fine with wearing a wrist band thing or a stamp on my hand indicating that I am a minor... maybe that would be possible?
