Yes his voice can get quite annoying. Why We Fight is completely different than anything else they've done. That was the last of all their albums I listened to and I couldn't believe how different it was. When I need a break from the whiny newer stuff, I listen to that one. As for the "absense of something fresh on their newest release" I know what you mean. My brother was the one who introduced me to the band and he absolutely hates that CD.

Yep, I love Ribbons and Sugar. I chose Volcano over that album because it was my first impression of them. Volcano made me go out and listen to everything else they'd done. I definitely agree, though. The songs on Ribbons and Sugar are more interesting. Lyrically and instrumentally.
