  1. Actually, I think I would have liked it better with more vocals. I thought the instruments themselves were pretty boring.
  2. This... Sweet! I can't really see your face, but you look nice. ;) you want to let shade and his emo hair insert it, don't you? Well, his knowledge about music does turn me on.
  3. I was thinking the same thing. Why sugar-free? Are you diabetic? In that case I'd want to die anyway.
  4. I love the intros to Man of Action and Near Fantastica. For conclusions... Born To Kill for sure, and maybe While We Were Hunting Rabbits, the whole orchestra playing lovely chords... ahh.
  5. This... Sweet! I can't really see your face, but you look nice. ;)
  6. Cool, I might have to check those other releases out.
  7. No, I was mostly just joking.
  8. I always call shade Jason. I don't understand why people call other people by their usernames if their real (or not real) name is right under the username. Yeah. Also I wonder what Jason (shade) looks like. Are you asian?
  9. Okay, my report back if anyone cares: 1,000 Mona Lisas - nice guitars, but I didn't like the guys voice. Kind of turned me off to listening to it, but they sounded like fairly well-written songs. The Frenetics - awesome. I have a weak spot for this kind of stuff. I really liked it. Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros - fun! I really enjoyed listening to this one.
  10. This was the first sort-of funny thing I've seen on MadTV in a looong time.
  11. Transistor Sound & Lighting Co. was pretty cool. Shorter than I expected. The guys voice got on my nerves after a while. I'm downloading a few you posted, Billy. Can one still listen to Clutch if they don't "blaze" ?? ;) EDIT: Radio Swan is Down is alright. I really try to enjoy music like this, but I find it so boring sometimes. The instruments are very pretty and all, but I find I really need vocals to keep interested. I guess I have to keep on listening. No doubt it's as emotionally charged as vocal music, my attention just isn't always focused on it as much as I think it should be. And Jason, I'm looking forward to whatever you decide to post.
  12. Aw, you're cool, Jason. You're not as bad-ass as you'd like everyone to think. ;) I actually like downloading the stuff you post because it's never something I would normally listen to, and it's usually stuff I've heard about but never listened to before. I guess I'd like to hear more jazz or vocals music. I've been wondering if Matt Good is the only real vocalist you listen to, haha. Also, how do you know/hear about so much music?
  13. Same since I live in East Amherst/Getzville.
  14. This is alright. It reminds me of a hip-hoppier, harder Broken Social Scene or something. I liked "If" the best.
  15. I think it's kind of ridiculous that they might sign Paul McCartney to the label.
  16. Good stuff. I haven't heard any stinkers so far.
  17. I always thought MySpace was more "lurk-y." I don't have a MySpace or a Facebook. At least with MySpace you can look at the public profiles... with Facebook, it always asks you to log in which I can't do because I don't have one.
  18. The Stooges: awesome. I've heard some of their stuff, but never an entire album, so that was fun. The Velvet Underground: classic, always deserves another listening. Right now I'm listening to the Tony Sly Chris posted, so far so good. Very romantic. I also downloaded the Talking Heads because I've never heard that album.
  19. How is that possible?
  20. What's the difference between Facebook and MySpace.
  21. The new Wilco leaked... whoo. Wilco - Impossible Germany
  22. I'd have to agree with you. So far it beats out the Arcade Fire, Shins, Anberlin and Dear and the Headlights which, for me, are the years best up to this point. But this year has so many albums to look forward to, I think this one will slip down into my lower top ten. That's interesting because right now Wincing The Night Away (the Shins) is the best of '07 so far for me, so I'm comparing everything to that. The new Modest Mouse doesn't even come CLOSE. But to each his/her own, right?
