  1. It'd be pretty rad if there was no opener and he started at 7 and played all night. (In my dreams?) But musicians are always late... I'm assuming he'll start at 8 probably if there's no opener.
  2. Is that new Jimmy Eat World? I didn't know they were still around... does it sound like the older stuff? From Shade's post: Jesu, and the Split EP are both great and recommended. Richard Hell and the Voidoids - super fun album. Take Offs and Landings is the best from Rilo Kiley in my opinion... if you've only heard the new stuff you should listen to this instead. Pictures of Success might be the best song ever by them (except for that middle part). Damien Rice was kind of boring and I dislike his voice. Also does anyone know who the female vocalist is? Sigur Ros was awesome and not what I was expecting. Listening to The Who as I type. It's great so far.
  3. Ya, Club Infinity's location is sort of good and bad. I like it because I don't have to drive to the city and it's relatively close to where I live. But it's surrounded by completely boring things. 'Cause it's not technically Buffalo, it's the suburbs. Also, yeah. Buffalo is a notorious drinking town.
  4. Very interesting... what's that entire excerpt taken from?
  5. They were horrendous... I was hoping for Dala because we got Melissa McClelland that one time, but looks like they have a show in TO that night.
  6. I'll be there. No idea who is opening. We usually get shitty local acts.
  7. Well lucky you. You live in Canada. The Guess Who is really rare here besides American Woman. Especially full albums like that. Edit, also S.E. you'll be glad you made room for it!
  8. (Someone at least THOUGHT about downloading The Guess Who?) Anyway, I know nothing about this band but I downloaded this 20-minute album yesterday and I really like it. I think a lot of people here will too. Has some really nice drumming and guitar work - it's all instrumental. Toe. - Songs, Ideas We Forgot
  9. The Man Who Sold The World. Or Pin Ups.
  10. Yeah, I'm afraid if I go and do it again I'll be charged double the amount so I don't really want to do that. I guess I'll wait and see.
  11. I don't know I thought I ordered it but I didn't get an e-mail or statement saying "YES YOU ORDERED THANKS" or something. But my internet is also fucked so whatever. I'm psyched.
  12. Hey Tim (or anyone that pre-ordered), did you get a confirmation e-mail or anything?
  13. WTF I'm registering to pre-order it and it requires a mobile phone number. I don't have a mobile phone. Ha nevermind. I just used my regular phone number. It's all good.
  14. THIS October? Edit holy shit this is great.
  15. I just figured the Little Miss Sunshine OST had all DeVotchka on it. It's rad that they included "Superfreak." As for The Cure, I could never get into Pornography. I think I only liked Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me because it has a song on it called "Icing Sugar." Anywho, here's some cool uploads from me. Retro Canadian rock 'n roll ("She's Come Undone" is a really really good song.) The Guess Who - Canned Wheat If you enjoy singer-songwriters, check this guy out: David Mead - Indiana Self-titled from cLOUDDEAD, quite different from Ten but still interesting. cLOUDDEAD - cLOUDDEAD (P.S. the last song on this is fucked up. I re-ripped it, but it's still stupid. Just in case someone actually does download it.)
  16. Hey, does the Little Miss Sunshine OST have "Superfreak" on it? The other two Cures: 1982 - Pornography 1987 - Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me
  17. Chris: (1985) The Cure - The Head on the Door I'm uploading Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me and Pornography too but I don't really think you'll like any of them as much as Disintegration, because frankly I don't.
  18. I'll upload some more when I get home from work, Chris.
  19. Holy crap, thanks dude. Much appreciated.
  20. Hmm, maybe try http://nodatta.blogspot.com/ ??? Looks like they have a few of Montreal albums, but I don't know if they're still downloadable or not. Also Meg, I've never heard of Defiance, Ohio ;) Jazz fans will like this (I think): Oliver Nelson - The Blues and The Abstract Truth
  21. Mark Kozelek - Star Spangled Banner
  22. Cool, thanks gursky. It's nice.
