I saw this a few minutes ago when checking the news. This shouldn't surprise anybody. Conservatives have always talked shit and then failed to provide what they promised - much like their Liberal counterparts. It's just more fun being screwed.

We have (or have had) several. Unfortunately, Canada's provincial makeup doesn't lend well to national populist parties.

Liberals and the old PC's worked like that. I think NDP have some modified (but not entirely democratic) member voting system while I believe that the new Conservatives do elect their leader.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who'd like to hear demos live ;) I guess you always want what you cannot have... Dancing Invisible or Coming Out in Purple (love it or hate it, you've gotta admit it would be hilarious to see live). He did Prime Time Deliverance at the Edmonton show too. He closed the show with it. It was funtastic.

Joining a party does not have anything (necessarily) to do with your vote. You join a party to participate in its policy and decision making (in theory at least. in practice the parties are dominated by bigwigs and joining it gives you little to no say in their policies). Only a small fraction of Canadians (4% or less) are members of political parties. Those tend to be the keeners.

If it were, I don't think he'd be such a blatent jackass about it.

For all of those who were there in Edmonton last night, it was too bad we didn't meet up. In case you noticed me, I was the one who ran down the lefthand-side isle and screamed something incoherant waving my arms as if I were drunk (I wasn't) right before the show started.

Well, Mblog is back with one of Matt's standard "I'm rethinking why I have this blog and you won't like it" posts. He indirectly refers to his and Jen's blogs being removed and from what he said I would infer that they were harassed in some way by some jackass from teh intarweb. So, basically, the usual.

Tomorrow! I'm so excited! I get to end midterm week (2 sets of midterms, this is the second) with a MG show! woot! Evan: You could meet me there ;)

What irony. I'm 23 but my local show is all ages.

The show at my Uni costed $30 ;) Of course, like 7 of that was Ticketmaster fees.
