I really want to get MW2... I used to play COD4 non-stop for 3 months online on 360 when it came out 2 years ago.

Ok, does anyone have any guitar tabs for Vancouver? I really want to play some of these songs but I'm not skilled enough to do it myself!

I picked up Dragon Age for the PC yesterday, ended up playing that for like 6 hours instead of studying for my midterm.... That game is a lot better than I thought it would be.

Nice read, I'm not very good at singing but I'd love to improve.

Last Parade from the rehersal video sounds great, I'm excited to hear it live.

Well I made playlist in iTunes with all the songs from that set and it comes out to be about 1 hour and 15 minutes. So that's got to be at least 1.5 hour show including banter and downtime between songs. That doesn't seem too bad to me.

It's a weekly radio segment on different musicians and aspects of rock, that airs Sundays on a few Canadian radio stations (ie. cfox and the edge). You can listen online on one of the station's websites, not sure what time it's at though.

One of the things I like about this album is that the songs are great to play on your own with a guitar since there's not tons of layered guitar tracks. In contrast, the same thing happened to me with Avalanche, aside from Weapon I never gave that album a fair chance. About a year or so after it came out I gave it another listen and was blown away.

I really enjoy that album, so I would be happy if he did something like that.

Well fuck this! Ok I'm going to have to choose House of Smoke and Mirrors because it's one of my top 3 favourite MG(B) songs, but after that it's really hard to choose...

Well I already said why I don't like the guitar. It feels like it's being stretched out unnecessarily and it doesn't stop, it's very annoying. Not annoying like a guy sitting there tapping his foot non-stop while you're trying to read a book or something, it's more like you're lying in bed trying to fall asleep and you can't, thinking "grr I know this is going to end eventually, why can't it just end now...". That's the same reaction I have to the guitar in that song. The vocals are not bad, but they don't do really do anything for me because they sound too generic, they are not very distinct. I can't honestly say that I enjoy them. I have only heard the one song off the album though, so I'm not going to write off the guitar or vocals based on one track. But why do I need to justify my tastes? It's like getting mad at me because I'm right-handed, or hate tomatoes. That's just the way I am, I can't explain to you why I don't like the way tomatoes taste, I just don't.

I'm not saying he's a bad guitarist, I'm just saying the guitar on this track is bad. Everyone has their missteps.. Anyway, after further listening, I think the vocals are worse than I originally thought. Ok they're not bad, but they are definitely not good. It's all subjective anyway so there's no point in getting so pissed.

I thought the abuse of the whales was a prelude to our own self destruction. At the rate we are going, we will eventually consume all natural resources and bring about our own end.

I heard Check my Brain on the radio and man the guitar in the song is soo bad.The guitar is really slow which isn't necessarily bad, but it sounds like someones using a hand-cranked drill on my skull, it's really annoying and it goes on for most of the song. I thought the vocals were not bad, but I'm not really a fan of that vocal style. If the guitar wasn't so bad I think it would be a decent track.

I think it makes sense to release Us Remains Impossible (or another song) as a second single sometime in the next couple month, then have Vancouver Nation Anthem as the third single in February to coincide with the olympics.

Great Whales of The Sea and Empty's theme Park are my two favourites. I don't see how you can dislike Great Whales of the Sea though, the tune is great, I especially like the asymmetry of the song. The lyrics are fantastic too! "If failure's number one/ Then surely he's a second son/ It's all in how you disappear me/ Great whales of the sea" I love those lines! I think the drumming on Empty's Theme Park is really good too.

White Light Rock and Roll Review used to be my least favourite MG album, probably because it's a lot different than the style he established with MGB and Avalanche. But it grew on me as I accepted the fact that musicians don't always have to have the same sound. It's now one of my favourite albums with Empty Road being my favourite track.

I used to hate those paper cases too, but I've got a handful of them now and I don't mind them. I like the live version of 99% of us is Failure, the other 2 are ok.

Then there's that video being made for Great Whales of the Sea... I know he said that doesn't necessarily mean it's a single, but hey, it might be if it turns out really good or somethng like that.

I have the iTunes version and a hard copy and they both work fine, weird that your guys' versions are janked.
