  1. I need to go watch Indy.. Iron Man was pretty much the coolest thing ever. The new Hulk will hopefully be good. Edward Norton vs Tim Roth? C'mon.
  2. Daft Punk rocks to run to! It's between that, various Techno, and In Rainbows for me.
  3. Hugh Laurie was Iron Man in a dream a little while ago, it was one awesome dream. Just like in Conan O'Brien's entrance to the Grammy's or whatever awards it was, he kept saying "Ohh, put a feather in your hat!" to people with the mask down in his Iron Man suite.
  4. House a few days ago. Finally's gonna be rad.
  5. Damnit.... Ditto on everything but Garner's performance. I was hoping to rant ;)
  6. CAPTAIN CRUNCH WITH CRUNCH BERRIES Jealous much?
  7. Sunshine. Directed by Danny Boyle and starring Cillian Murphy again, just like 28 Days Later! It was pretty rad, especially because Raptor Jesus is the antagonist.
  8. Man, okay, So when my dream started off I was just hanging out with two of my friends, Damien and Kyle, and my girlfriend Caitlin... Then while we were going for a walk in a small forest behind this giant building, all the plants and wildlife, including insect, grew 10 times the size they should be... All the plants became sentient but had really limited movement, scraping or whipping us when they had the chance. Eventually we found our way back to the giant building which was now reminiscent of Castlevania and was immersed in light mist. Somehow we all came to the conclusion that we had to get to the top of the castle, and we started climbing massive stairwells and walking hallways that were ill-lit and scary as hell. Once we made it to the top the whole castle place started shaking and falling apart, being pulled apart piece by piece and sucked into a vortex.. We had to jump around and grab old rusty pipes to prevent ourselves from faling with the debris or getting pulled away by the vortex thing which seemed like it was in the giant forest.. Damien ended up falling into the vortex, and I remember everyone watching him float away(Everything was floating towards this vortex much slower that free fall speed). Eventually the vortex this died down and we made our way down through the broken debris to ground level. For some reason we all just headed home after that.. But that's not where it ends.... Kyle wanted to watch a movie. I told him to put it in, and then I went down a hallway to fetch some snacks. While walking down the hallway something invisible grabbed my neck and lifted me into the air. It then told me the video was cursed and that anyone who watches it dies(Kinda like the Ring?). While holding me in the air this invisible thing floated towards Kyle, who for some reason couldn't hear me gasp for breath or see me flailing around three feet in the air. The thing that was holding me then told me he could see or hear me, and that I get to watch him die. That where it just got cut off. I only remember because I explained the dream right when I woke up to Caitlin as we got ready for work. As weird as the dream sounds it was kind of a nightmare, the whole thing was frightening.
  9. Thin Blue Line, To the Dogs or Whoever, Good Man, Right Moves, Empty Hearts
  10. I actually really didn't like In Our Bedroom After the War... I saw the Stars live at the Commodore like 2 months back 'cause my girlfriend kinda likes them, and ever since I haven't been able to listen to them. I know the album has this whole bedroom theme but it makes it boring. Even Amy Millan herself has said that she isn't good at writing music. I couldn't put this anywhere near top album.
  11. Indeed. Girl in the War and Thin Blue Flame are the reasons I decided to buy Animal Years. I've been addicted to him since. I actually found him through Matthew Good's blog, he had a post about Girl in the War, and he quoted a line from Thin Blue Flame, haha. Some of his songs are so fun to listen to aswell, like Wolves, To the Dogs or whoever, and The Next to the Last Romantic. He's so well rounded as an artist.
  12. Heh, I forgot I even had that. It's been a while since I've been on the Bored... I'd really suggest Historical Conquests, or Hello Starling.
  13. In some pictures he reminds me of Nick Drake. I'm definitely going to the show in Van.
  14. Tough choice for me between Hospital Music and the Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter. In Rainbows would trail somewhere close behind.
  15. I'm seriously in love with his music, I sing it everywhere I go. He's worth every penny. And he's one dashing gent too!
  16. Any one else 'round these parts a fan? He's doing a Canadian tour starting next month. I'll be seeing him at the Commodore in Van on Feb 23rd!
  17. Even though I'd already DLed it online, I got In Rainbows at Futureshop for free.. They had a buy 2 get 1 free thing and I could only find 2 other good CDs in the building. I got it mainly for the album stickers.. About the album, I still think it's great. Disc 1 is better than Disc 2 but they're both pretty damn good. When it came out I was expecting more of a Hail to the Thief: Volume 2, so what it actually came out like was pleasant to the ears.
  18. No Country for Old Men. It was so awesome.
  19. I'm thinking... Stars?
  20. It truly does, that's why I cranked up Josh Rotter's new album.
  21. This threads gonna get a lot of "Yeah, I woke up, and then y'know... Ate. And stuff" But not from me! I woke up, turned my computer on and everything was silent, went on facebook.. Then I heard the bounce of my sisters bed start to pick up about 15 mins later. Yup, my sister and her boyfriend in the room above me were having themselves some sexy time! Not a cool thing to wake up to, so, I turned my stereo on to drown 'em out. Woo
  22. I watched 3:10 to Yuma yesterday night, it's really good, watch it.
  23. Every time I go to Van I say I'm gonna have a Crepe at Cafe Crepe. I never do. It'd be better if the Diabetes took his arms too, and he slithered around with a knife in his mouth, or walked on all fours, on nubs. THAT'S creepy / on par with shitty horror movies.
