Last Of The Ghetto Astronauts Underdogs Raygun Beautiful Midnight Loser Anthems The Audio Of Being Avalanche White Light Rock And Roll Review and i have downloaded... Lo-Fi B Sides History Teacher Most of the rarities like "Pony Boy" etc... I would kill (not really) for an actual copy of Lo-Fi, but unfortunately i only learned of MG when Beautiful Midnight came out, and i bought everything i could find.... oh well toooooo bad i guess...
  3. YES 30 posts lol wow thats kinda pitiful...
  4. wow its interesting to look and see everybody's different tastes withing matt's music, but having said that i love every one of his songs, it was really hard to decide on my favorites, and if i did it again i might not pick the same songs, if that makes sense...
  5. indeed, you all have covered this quite nicely, i'd be mad too if some moron in the front decided to raise hell for no apparent reason, and as for audrey, shes about as sharp as a spoon, all her facts were either wrong or skewed beyond recognition...
  6. hey all, just wondering what everyones favorites are from each album. mine are in no particular order. Last of the Ghetto Astronauts - Vermilion, Symbolistic White Walls, Alabama Motel Room (honorable mention - Radio Bomb, Haven't Slept in Years) Underdogs - Apparitions, Everything is Automatic, Strangest One Of All (honorable mention to Deep Six and My Out Of Style...) Beautiful Midnight - Strange Days, Giant, Hello Time Bomb (honorable mention - Born To Kill, Load Me Up) The Audio of Being - Man Of Action, Anti-Pop, Sort of a Protest Song (honorable mention - Tripoli, Advertising on Police Cars, Truffle Pigs) Avalanche - Near Fantastica, Song For The Girl, Weapon (honorable mention - Pledge of Allegiance, Avalanche) White Light Rock And Roll Review - Buffalo Seven, Poor Man's Grey, North American For Life (honorable mention to Ex-Pats and Empty Road) And yeah thats about all i have to say, what are YOUR favorites?
  7. haha crusdaer i've seen that one lol it was hilarious, kenny dominated, ice cream always wins with kids, no contest.
  8. yeah the killers are good, nice and retro lol. btw smile like you mean it is a wicked tune.
  9. LOL britney spears... the only man who can get us out of this mess is the same man who got us into it... lol thats classic... where does he find these things...
  10. those are amazing, especially the gay bar one thats tooooo funny
  11. i think either buffalo seven or empty road, although empty road would never make it with the steel guitar in it... i bet they would add another guitar track over and drop the steel.... my $.02
  12. Mr.Domino

    DVD

i think a concert film along the lines of the Our Lady Peace DVD would be awesome! and toss in some making of stuff, like the Empty Road video on the official site. maaaaaan that would be amazing.
  13. ooooooo thats a good question, but i think its a matter of which type of music you like more. In the band, the music was much more alternative, whereas since he went solo hes focused more on a rock style. Its a tough choice but hmmmm i guess i'll go with the band for now, a couple more albums and my mind could be changed.
  14. yeah eadorer, i remember hearing that about the picture on the wall when the band was in trouble... "no time to think, no time to breath, no time at all, just the buffalo seven" yeah it seems to fit, if he was really stressed out at the time...
  15. i think it depends on the venue, because he came to the stampede a couple times and it was all ages, but this time he was at Cowboys and was 18+.... just my $.02
  16. i agree, that is THE most annoying thing, the people who are there to raise hell rather than enjoy the music... Matt's greatest creations are hidden deep in the album, they aren't the singles...
  17. yeah, blue skies was pretty sweet, the whole place was just in awe of it... even in the quiet parts of the song it was quiet in the crowd, everybody was just kinda like ;) ... damn i wish going tonight lol.... dunno if my liver could take it tho...
  18. Hey everybody, i JUST signed up for this board this morning, looks like a good little community you've got here (no pun intended). Anyhow i was at the show at Cowboys last night, and let me say that if you haven't seen matt live, you MUST go NOW. absolutely amazing show. Wil took the stage at around 945, and played for a good 40 minutes... he really is amazing on the acoustic guitar, he and the drummer (his name escapes me) really make alot of music for two guys. Despite the fact that he was an excellent musician, the crowd was getting restless to see matt. At about 11, Matt, Rich, Pat, and Christian (sp?) hit the stage and launched into an hour and a half set of rock and roll goodness. Every song was exceptionally tight, i didn't even catch one sour note or anything. Matt took time out a couple times to chat with the crowd, once about the election today, once about amnesty international (they had a kiosk sort of thing there) and once about the sad state the world is in. Pat is a wicked drummer, pounding out the beat with power and precision. The way Rich's bass was mixed was unbelievable, it penetrated your body with amazing force. Matt and Christian were solid on the guitars, making the whole room believe what i knew to be true already. Matthew Good is among the best canadian musicians in history. Here is the setlist, i THINK this was the order, correct me if i'm wrong... Put Out Your Lights Poor Man's Grey Fell In Love With A Bad Idea Hello Time Bomb Alert Status Red Everything is Automatic North American For Life Weapon Little Terror Load Me Up We're So Heavy Blue Skies Over Badlands Apparitions ENCORE Near Fantastica (un-freaking-believable) Hopeless Empty Road I was kinda disappointed he didn't play buffalo seven as its one of my favorite new songs, but the sheer force of hello time bomb, alert status red, load me up, weapon and near fantastica more than made up for it. Last night ranks up there with the best concerts i have ever seen... thanks Matt and Co. for an amazing night.
