  1. "Only killers call killing progress."
  2. Agreed. I love that I haven't had to shell very much to catch Matt in concert. Which is why I was looking forward to the Monday show in Starlight. S'a good venue, and I imagine one that affords the opportunity to be nearly nose to nose with the guy.
  3. Very, very much. I saw them in Toronto last October with Cursed and Mare. (If Terror was there, I tried not to notice) Amazing show. I tend to be an oddity among Converge fans, though. I tend to enjoy You Fail Me the most out of all their stuff. The whole album has this crazy gritty feel to it that blows me away.
  4. Do a lot of driving. Usually use my iriver on shuffle, or I'll throw something that mixes it up/I haven't heard much of. Strangely, even though they're somewhat ambient/hypnotic, I can drive listening to Isis for long distances.
  5. Agreed and a half.
  6. Meh. I become wary when something shows me undaunting love (as in, canines) I like something that can be affectionate when it's got the time, and leaves me to my business as long as it's not hungry.
  7. On their albums, Dallas has a pretty prominent role. If George were to leave Alexisonfire.... Their live shows would be boring as hell. That man is one of the most entertaining showmen I've seen in a while. As for Dallas' side project: I was expecting a lot. The stuff I did like, I loved. The stuff I didn't, well, that's what the "next-track" button is for. I got my money's worth, so I'm happy. But I NEED that Happiness by the Kilowatt recording in my blood. It's awesome. Still dig the Alexisonfire version more, though.
  8. That's none too shabby. I tried to do National Novel Writing Month last year. Nearly killed myself, and still didn't finish. It was intense.
  9. Yiikes. Okay, I'd consider around fifty. If he were playing for three hours straight, I'd propbably go to a hundred. But... Yeah. Yikes.
  10. Queens of the Stone Age - No One Knows (Live)
  11. And a fine job, too. Once I get my hands on some cash, I'll definitely be hitting this up.
  12. Yeah, I had the poor judgement in first year to attempt to declare War On Vodka for a day. A buddy and I popped the bottles after our classes ended at 11:45 in the morning. And just kept going to see who'd give up first: Vodka or Us. A lack of foresight when it came to mixers did us in, however. As once I ran out of lemonade, it was just me and straight lemon vodka. And then people started playing beeramid. And I wound up with the Queen of Spades. So I polished off half a glass of the stuff. Went to the bathroom, lost my dinner, and decided to wave the white flag and head to the bar with my cohorts for beer. The night progressed into oblivion. Yeah. Hard liquor always wins in a fight.
  13. Beyond a staggering capacity for indifference? Ah, I love those haughty little furballs.
  14. Oooh. That's going to be rough. Sunshine the Werewolf - Dillinger Escape Plan Big News - These Arms are Snakes The Rat Who Would Be King - Matthew Good Band Bright End of Nowhere - Matthew Good Friends are Evil - Jesu Ask me in a few minutes and the whole list will change.
  15. You enjoyed that? Anywho... V for Vendetta (great) Vertigo (there was a certain point I thought it should have ended, but it kept going) The Third Man (very good) I did indeed. Can't explain precisely why. Just struck a chord. V for Vendetta keeps getting great reviews, but I'm still sketchy, since Moore divorced himself from the project. I'll probably have to see it anyways.
  16. Agreed. I have a hard time with calling it "reality TV" because it... well, it's not real. I.E. with survivor. If someone "disappears" among shipwrecked people, they didn't "get kicked off" - someone ate them. Or they fell in a hole, or whatever. If it's going to be reality, I want some cannibalism references, at least. That said, this looks cool.
  17. A very worthwhile question. I was incredibly stoked to hear it might be rescheduled. There's no way I can make it to the one tonight, either. Gahhhhhhhhh ;)
