Worst Band....your Thoughts?
silentshadow replied to Corrinshwa's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
i think you missed my point. I think you missed Matrix's point. That is: that Led Zep, Jimi Hendrix and other's mentioned in your guys' little bitch fight, don't deserve to be listed in the worst bands list. Obviously there are several bands that any one is entitled to dislike but you can't say a band is the worst when it is so obviously a pioneer of it's time and extremely influencial. Mabey a better statement would have been-"I hate Jimi Hendrix, but he is still one of the best artist of the 70's"? Still, everyone is entitled to their opinion, so if you REALLY honestly think that the mentioned bands are the worst bands then go ahead and say that. I just think that would be a very misguided statement considering that many of their guitar riffs and rock rythems have inspired some of the best groups today. Oh and don't forget the lyrics that had some of the best protest and meaning behind them. -

I hate when people are at a drive thru and are like,"Can I get a double cheese burger, large fries, a bucket of lard fried onions...oh and I almost forgot, a DIET COKE". So stupid, who orders all that crap and thinks they'll lose weight by drinking diet. Kudos for trying though. However, I must say that some people have a serious medical condition that makes them gain weight or a mental issue that causes them to eat excessively. Don't those people deserve help instead of criticism? And who are we to say how anyone should or shouldn't live their lives?

If there is one way to die, it is by eating too much of my mom and grandma's cooking. MMMMm... chicken tacos! Death by gravy wouldn't be bad either.

So I Married an Axe Murderer

I just saw Memento, and it is one strange film. I enjoyed it though. In the spoiler is a summary of the movie. Does any one agree or disagree that this was what the plot really was about? SPOILER (Highlight to View) "Teddy (Joe Pantoliano) did not murder Leonard's (Guy Pearce's) wife (Jorja Fox); he was using Leonard to rip off the drug dealers. It was Leonard himself who accidentally killed his wife. You see, Sammy Jankis (Stephen Tobolowsky) was real, and Leonard *did* investigate his claim, but Sammy wasn't married. Leonard used the Sammy story to block out the memory that it was *his* wife who had diabetes. She actually survived the rape, and died of insulin overdose later, while trying to test Leonard (who developed his "condition" during that assault). Leonard, with the help of Teddy, had already killed the rapist John G. over a year ago. When Teddy reminds Leonard of all these facts, Leonard, in a fit of pique, records Teddy's license plate number, flags it as the killer's, and adds the "Don't believe his lies" note to the Polaroid, thus setting the wheels in motion for Teddy's eventual demise".

so it's worth checking out? and I just watched clerks 2 last night Yeah, if you enjoy M. Night, you'll probably like it, although it's not completely like his other stories and it isn't very scarry. Had some surprisingly funny momments, and a great story though. I think the problem was that half the people in the theater didn't have enough brain cells to really get the idea of the movie.

Oh, I saw this preview in the movies last weekend. It looks interesting. I'm pretty sure it's a love story about two people who live forever, but suddenly one(the woman)starts dieing. Other than that, I'm not sure what it's about either.
