  1. I have never been refused purchase of a cd in my life, and i was buying PA stuff between ages 8 - 17. It's not like any of it has a point.
  2. My Chemical Romance say "i'm not o-fucking-kay" to earn theirs. Story of the Year anyone? Paige Avenue's most foul lyric: "Until the day i die, i'll spill my heart for you." It's 100% marketing. If someone thinks a PA will work to their advantage, it's got one.
  3. No one thinks they listen to bad music. Buy the new Mindless Self Indulgence, You'll Rebel Against Anything, As Long As It's Not Challenging. I think you'll like it a lot. Just don't get the edited version. And The Left Rights. They're fucking sexy.
  4. Jack Off Jill - Angels Fuck, Devils Kiss
  5. The LeftRights - If You Figure This Out, We'll Suck Your Dick
  6. The Left Rights - Pink Aqua Dress
  7. Marty Robbins - Echo Island
  8. but you're also not a 10-14 year old fake goth. I can see how kids can pick up on this. They want something that expresses their emotion in simple words and with catchy hooks. Good Charlotte are giving them just that. That and, i like to be able to listen to something that isn't heavy. 99% of the music i listen to is heavy in some way, be it lyrically, emotionally, or heavy music. Sometimes, i just wanna live!
  9. even if you don't like it, you can't say that it isn't catchy. I often have a lot of trouble getting into albums, then once i do, i love them. Maybe this will be the oposite, who knows. What don't you like about it?
  10. I'm loving the new album. It's freaking addictive, like smack.
  11. Not quite. Lots of lyrics that kids who have divorced parents can identify, becuase the world is black, hahahaha. I haven't listened to the whole thing yet, but i'm not regretting it yet. I'm eclectic?
  12. afi Sing the Sorrow "But Home is Nowhere"
  13. Being right doesn't exactly hurt, either.
  14. Carley Simon - Dishonest Modesty
  15. Thus far, i have no regrets. That Good Charlotte was surprisingly entertaining. I bought it because i was curious why they were so popular. Now i know.
  16. Lynyrd Skynyrd Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Erd "Tuesday's Gone"
  17. I must say, System blew MV out of the water. I don't know if they were really tired or something, but they looked like old people who are deaf so they don't know the boring stuff they're dragging on. I am a Mars Volta fan, so i was fairly dissapointed. I tell myself it was an off-night for them. As for System, Holy Shit!! They rocked out with their cokcs out, that's for sure.
  18. I got this CD, but my friend left it in Montreal, so i have yet to hear it...
  19. So we've got nine songs, totals about 27 - 32 minutes. (Definitely short, by our standards; it's a concept album, very direct and folky and poppy) EP or LP? Those bastards in Sum 41 can't decide either. Half Hour of Power was just as long as All Killer, No Filler and Does This Look Infected, but HHOP was an EP. In my opinion, if an album is less than 45 minutes, and i paid $14.99+, i feel like i got ripped off. Of course we aren't charging that much, this is just a question i've never had a reason to ask before... Are nine songs in the neighbourhood of a half-hour an EP?
  20. I saw this at the Montreal Film Festival. It was absolutely brilliant!! Did anyone else see it? Thoughts? Opinions?
  21. please die.
  22. The Decemberists Picaresque "16 Military Wives"
  23. Matthew Good has the most consistent bsides i've ever heard. if we're counting covers from bside albums, i'd have to say SP's "Landslide" Marilyn Manson's "Believe" is my favourite MM song. System of a Down's "Metro," "Shame," "Roulette" and "Streamline" all kick ass. Deftones' "No Ordinary Love" and there's a 14 minute bside version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Freebird" that's orgamsic.
