First off, many emo bands are redundant, yeah, and i think that's where a lot of shit comes from, but there are a few great ones out there, but go on myspace or purevolume, and you'll see kids with know knowledge of musical theory playing the same chords their friends bands plays. But as for the story, i read about it over a year ago, when the album first came out, so this is all off the top of my head. Two Bonnie&Clyde-esque lovers get shot up in a gunfight, he dies, she doesn't. Being the scum that he is, man ends up in hell, but throws a hissy fit because he's not with what'sherface any more. The devil's all like "man, quit your crying, i'll cut you a deal. Bring me the souls of 1000 evil, terrible people, and i'll give you a second chance at life," and then there's this whole thing with what'sherface moving on to some other scumbag and something about a shootout in a graveyard. As i said, it's been quite a while, but the entire album tells this story. There are a few subplots, with a homosexual old man and something about poison. I bet you could find a way better description via google, since i can't remember it, and i haven't heard the album in a while.

love you too! This thread is basically whiny guys whining about how much they hate younger boys who listen and dress a certain way. Very pathetic. Anyway, i don't really know how emo is any different from what punk or new wave became. People saw it, and emulated it. You're just conforming to a look that was at one time that of a non-conformist. Frankly, i don't give a shit. I wear eyeliner sometimes, i listen to Taking Back Sunday and Thursday, i have hair that is longer in someparts than others, and pink is my favourite colour, but does that mean shit all? No. I'm doing what i want to do, i look how i want to look and i listen to what pleases me. (and i still maintain that My Chemical Romance cannot be considered emo, as they do not write songs about breaking up with their girlfriend. Their songs and albums tell stories.)

I don't think i'll buy it. I doubt the four new songs will be worth hearing. It seems like they're trying to cash in on their new semi-fame without releasing a new album.

I love the TBS. They've been around for quite a while now, i'm surprised you haven't heard them. PS! check out Brand New and Straylight Run. All three bands are related.
