New Incubus!
Dan #2 replied to Blender's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
i had mixed emotions at first too, but Quicksand, Love Hurts and Paper Shoes were all just too good to get over, the album is already a favourite for me. ...Murder took me months to come around to for some reason, i didn't even like it a whole lot until earlier this year. -
that's my Satty <3

Atlantis Hymns For Disco
Dan #2 replied to nag95's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I'm a huge Buck 65 fan, i had no idea he was on here. Is it more like Buck 65 or K-os, or is it different all together? -
yeah i had similiar experiences. I was doing a project in the library in my first week of grade nine and it was on a big screen tv. I was surprised (and still am) that only 3000ish people died. Another part of this whole thing that makes me wonder if it was an inside-job of sorts.

Pony Boy Should Have Been The First Single.
Dan #2 replied to Shortcut To Moncton's topic in Matthew Good
I think that AoB should have had 14 tracks, but that said, i don't know where i would have included All Together and Pony Boy... -
Atlantis Hymns For Disco
Dan #2 replied to nag95's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
i'm really looking forward to hearing it. I loved a few songs off of joyful rebellion but i could have lived without just as many. I'm not totally sure if i'm a K-os fan yet, but i'll most likely be buying this soon. The soul/reggae thing is enticing. I loved Emcee Murder, and whatever track 7 on JR was called, the most. -
New Modest Mouse

I'm really excited. i love the title, and the band has only been getting better with every album, in my opinion. I know a lot of people will argue with me though. -
I've wanted this shirt since i was thirteen but my mom was a retard and believed that using a credit card online was the same as giving your credit card to some homeless guy. Is it in good condition? i'll go higher than any aforementioned bids.

I loved Greyest of Blue Skies, but for some reason, i've never heard anything else by them... is there newer or older stuff worth checking out? -
The Decemberists
Dan #2 replied to reckoner's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
For me, The Decemberists are second only to MG. I have all four LP's and two EP's. If it weren't for the Paper Chase releasing "Now You Are One of Us" this year, "The Crane Wife" would be my favourite album of the year, and it might just be anyway, i don't know. -
I heard that there was a suicide girl with MG lyrics tattooed on her. Which one, does anyone know who she is?

i liked that.

I just bought M1's solo album and it's incredible. it's so smart and diverse, i love that it's a hiphop album but it's got some quiet songs and huge loud fun ones. Anyone else a friend of the Dead Prez family?
-
i have Domestica and The Ugly Organ, both of which are stellar.

My favourite MG( songs aren't ever recognized by anyone outside of here, but i think alot of MG/B fans love them. The singles usually get worn out, where they're played alot on Tv and Radio, but also becuase They're generally at the beginning of the album. #2 has been a single on every MGB album, not counting ep's. "While we were hunting rabbits", "Born To Kill", "Running For Home", "Advertising On Police Cars", "Omissions of The Omen", "Fated", "The Inescapable Us", "Prime Time Deliverance", "Enjoy the Silence (I know it's a cover, but still great)" and my all time favourite "Flight Recorder From Viking 7"

I'm hopefully going this summer. I've got a wedding to go to in Ireland in August. Might as well cross over, eh? I hope to live somewhere non-North American in a few years. Europe would be most practical for me, i would assume.

Thursday's "war All The Time"
Dan #2 replied to oneeighty's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I love Thursday but i am frightened. I think the new album will be shit. And as for Full Collapse, i hated it the first two or three times i heard it. It takes getting used to i thought. -
