  1. Lots of strings though, which Pete was playing live via keyboard last tour. I could also do without HTB, LMU, Apparitions et al, and I think he will probably will end up cutting out at least one of those songs each night once the tour progresses. He did, after all, not play HTB a few times last tour, so who knows.
  2. Keep in mind, that Matt is still probably getting over being sick, and I imagine he wants to play it safe in regards to length so his voice doesn't get fucked. We all know that the setlists are going to be different every night, and I imagine once Matt feels better and the band gets in their groove, the sets will probably lengthen. You guys are making mountains out of moleholes.
  3. Actually it was sent BEFORE the show, but he was probably playing D&D on the bus, so I suppose that's also an okay reason.
  4. Watched Martyrs again. Great film, and even though I knew what came next while watching it, it still fucked with my head.
  5. I sent Matt a tweet asking if he was planning on posting setlists during this tour, but no reply, for obvious reasons.
  6. I am almost positive it's not Avalanche, based on all the live bootlegs I've heard of it. Unless he's changed it up. We will have to wait and see.
  7. I will promise to get the sets for both Calgary shows, as I have a habit of jotting them down now.
  8. The only ideas I have are that it's either a brand new song or a song that's been re-worked in some way with an extra part, a la Avalanche/Black Helicopter/Under the Influence.
  9. Hey Anton, if people post setlists for the tour, I think you should add them to the tour calendar so we can see what's been played.
  10. I am starting to work on tabbing out the basslines if anyone wants me to post them. Lots of slides and some tricky timing.
  11. The only thing I find similar between On Nights Like Tonight and Avalanche is the 3/4 time signature, which means those songs are also like Song for the Girl, Life in Spite of Itself and I think Sort of a Protest Song.
  12. Giant Sort of a Protest Song
  13. Finboy and I are still working on stuff.
  14. Let the Right One In is fantastic! After seeing that and Martyrs (even though Martyrs is a joint France/Canada production), I have decided that European horror-type movies trump most everything that is produced in North America.
  15. Dead Snow. It's a movie with Nazi Zombies and one supremely wicked zombie on human kill. It's awesome.
  16. When I get pissed at someone for something, I always say I want to punch them in the throat, which is really effective if you can hit it. If not, classic nosebuster.
  17. Starting Final Fantasy 7 for like the sixth time in my life. Hoping to finish it for once.
  18. I've enjoyed what I've played of Fallout 3. I hit the level cap (level 20, I JUST dl'd Broken Steel) and put about 30 hours into the game before I ran into a bug that wouldn't let me get past a certain part. Gotta remember to make multiple saves.
  19. Where the Wild Things Are. Excellent.
  20. "Like Carmelina, Truffle Pigs presents a challenge in that it
  21. Truffle Pigs is in Drop-D tuning, minus another half step (like quite a few songs on AOB) Without your guitar being set up to handle that tuning for extended periods of time, the low D-flat string has a tendency to a)go out of tune and b)flop around like a fish out of water due to low tension, making it sound like a bag of ass. I do recall him saying that even though he arranged Carmelina (which is also in that tuning) to be played live just a half-step down, he felt that Truffle Pigs loses something in it's presentation if it's not in the drop tuning, so he just never bothered trying to play the song often.
  22. The first so many hundreds of copies of AOB came with a lyrics booklet for all of MGB's career up to that point, so techinically, SOME came with a lyrics book ;)
  23. I have never had any problems with iTunes, on my dad's PC and on my Mac. Contact customer care I guess.
