  1. They are deserving of it. They are cute and crafty. They managed to somehow unlatch their cage yesterday and run around. At 5:30am. I agree to a point. I do like twitter for follow celebs and some friends and stuff, but I mostly use facebook for messaging, not statuses, because Facebook is a poorly designed piece of shit website.
  2. One could further argue that you don't have a turntable, you have a phonograph!
  3. I have a twitter for myself and my rabbits. Why? I'm a tool.
  4. Before or after the assault on the cabin? I didn't have much trouble with that on regular, it kinda kicked my ass on hardened, and I'm not that far on veteran yet.
  5. I believe one could argue that "vinyl" is a colloquial term for "record", much like "tape" is a colloquial term for "cassette".
  6. If it was at all similar to what he said about it in Calgary, then it was probably him saying that whenever he plays HTB, he always thinks that he could be playing another song.
  7. Rooms-Underdogs-Massey Workers Minimum Impossible Odette Dusk (probably one of the toughest votes I've had to make) Harold Born to Kill (BM) Beautiful Midnight Massey
  8. I thought Mother Mother was pretty decent musically. Interesting strong structures, catchy hooks, but poor stage presence. Then again, it's hard to be an opening band.
  9. If you have trouble picking one out together, this is a pretty good method to go by.
  10. Out of the few jobs I've worked (service clerk, then cashier and back up supervisor at a grocery store, telephone operator, and now customer care billing agent for a cable company), by far the worst was the operator job.
  11. Point her to your DVD collection and let her pick. This way it seems like you actually give a shit about what she likes.
  12. Fantastic song.
  13. Mother Mother is signing stuff at the merch booth after their sets. After the second Calgary show, I went to see if Matt was going to sign stuff, and Blake and Milos were outside hanging out, so I had a chat with them. I don't mind HTB live. There are tons of other songs that I'd rather hear, but HTB still sounds good live, though I do miss the extended version from a few years back, but alas, no sense in pining over it.
  14. Another one I really like is from the end of Native Son, when he says "Look ma, no hands."
  15. Blake, Stu and Milos all sing the "stick to it part", and the choir type bit in Odette.
  16. I told Blake he was the happiest drummer I had ever seen. He laughed.
  17. See, I've always thought it was "oh, no no" or something similar to that.
  18. Working on Dead Space and Final Fantasy 7 still, just started Assassin's Creed 2.
  19. If you're looking to get a Mac for under a grand, your only option is the desktop Mac Mini, which is $649 according to their website.
  20. I was sitting in row A for the second Calgary show, 3 seats in from the aisle, so I was witness to the security telling people to go back to their seats, even though when people rushed the stage during the encore at the first Calgary show they didn't give a fuck. I didn't really notice any drunken buffoons, other than the usual "play this!"
  21. I can't believe Lullaby got that many votes. I don't really like that song. Champions (Massey) Let's Get it On Change of Season Fated Flight Recorder If I Was A Tidal Wave I'm a Window Avalanche (Massey) Prime Time Deliverance
  22. The "oh" in between the first chorus and second verse of The Fall of Man.
  23. I read that post and sent him an email reminding him that not all of his fans are like that, that we're happy to hear him play no matter what, and that him, the band and the road crew should be proud of what they're doing. Even though I wasn't there in Saskatoon, as a longtime fan and supporter of Matt and his music, I was embarrassed that other people who claim to be fans and supporters would act like complete and total jackasses. I can't even imagine how it feels for him to hear things like that.
  24. Same thing happened in Calgary last night, but really, it's no big deal. He's been feeling under the weather, and he probably just wanted to get to the bus so he could rest up.
