    Fuck

Ugh. That reminded me of my ex-girlfriend. Surely a comparison that you, her, or I didn't wanna hear made. She'll remain oblivious ;)
  2. Wait, is this site named after the song? ;) - C
  3. Comfortable Criminals. For some reason, I just love it. I mean, the lyrics are pretty ridiculous by Good's standard, but there's something about the last four lines of "They like to lay low" [that's what he sings, right?] that gives me uncomfortable [no pun intended] shivers down my spine.
  4. Forgive the ignorance; the Junos are what exactly? Would they be seen as the biggest thing in the Canadian music's year awards-wise?
  5. I Miss New Wave grew on me like a rash, and I don't want any of that damn ointment. It's great.
  6. Liquid Tension is actually a pretty neat instrumental, even if it is [falsely] under Matt's name.
  7. What? Anyway, I understand what Karma is getting at. I know when I was not at all privy to Matthew Good and his beliefs/life and visited the site, I found myself scratching my head. At the time I visited the site solely as a music fan, and found it less than informative. Now, that's fine if he wants to use his blog and site as he wishes; it's his money, and power to him. My only gripe is the fact that he puts his web address on his albums, which to my mind falsely implies that the site offers more in a musical context, and any curious fan would then be in for a disappointment.
  8. Why must people always slam OLP on these boards? I'm not a fan by any means, but even I can recognise a change/shift in sound [usually this is a positive thing, Gravity being the exception]
  9. Ah, the joys of quoting. Anyway, I've never seen Mr. Good or his band(s) live, and I don't think bootlegs are a fair reflection on 'a best live song', since you have to take in other factors like atmosphere. So, I'll get back to you on that when I hit Canada [to coincide with his next tour].
  10. Just to let whoever hadn't heard All Together before know, it's actually on that MySpace site I gave before; advice: listen before it's rotated again [splendid stuff].
  11. Ditto. Well, the Matt Good of MySpace had it up on his site for a biteen, but they were my pre-Broadband days, so I only got five seconds without it stopping. Love to hear it in its entirity.
  12. If I was to edit my post to include it, would you edit yours? And if so, what to? [-C]
  13. Whatever happened to him? Did he leave the band after Underdogs/Lo-Fi of his own accord? If so, does anybody know why? If this topic's been started one hundred times before, I apologise wholeheartedly. [and that's a lotta heart] - C
  14. Just outta curiosity; what do you do with what you achieve to pick?
  15. Which raises an in'tresting question; anyone ever eaten dog? This Chinese dood I work with has - he wasn't too impressed by it, mind you. - C
  16. It's more of a rock remix. The guitars (and the organ) are more prominent, and the clock sound at the beginning is much louder. The bass levels are dampened a bit, too. More compression all around. Me thinks Good also says something over Dave's crazy solo before he starts demonically laughing. - C
  17. Possibly one of toughest questions to answer. For me, it's between Sort of a Protest Song and Prime Time Deliverance , though with the exception of Indestructible , I wouldn't so much as raise an eyebrow at anybody else's selection; there really is so much quality to consider. - C
  18. I thought the point of this board was that you could get away with topics without a specific point. But I am new, so, if I've misjudged; apologies. I didn't know nothing ;-) - C
  19. No, but I'll take it on board. - C[orm]
  20. It's gotta be Flight Recorder . The first time I heard that song, for the chorus, I sorta thought to myself aloud "Matthew Good is so versatile; he can do the Wheatus impression so much better [with the sex-change and all]". Alas, I was young and silly. Now I'm just silly. - C
  21. If you don't see nobody; you seem some/every body... Right? - C
  22. Let's see... Song for the Girl. And Empty Road . Ugh, every time I hear that song I wanna do something crazy. Like kill a man. - C
  23. Are you referring to the exerpt from 'There's Only One Jimmy Grimble'? I dunno exactly what that says, but it's a movie based in England about some kid who's fantastic at football [or soccer for you all] or something like that. Its relevence to Avalanche is... debatable. - C
