Agreed. It's sad to see individuals using her new blog as a means of ripping her apart without knowing the first thing about her. Not only sad; it's pathetic. Whatever. No publicity is bad publicity. It's like one of the commenters to his latest blog pointed out; Matt's been very proactive in human rights movements and is quite critical of the society we live in for overlooking and/or abusing such basic human rights. So it's pretty hypocritical [is it not?] that he's self-indulging about his problems, when, in the next breath, he's off to Vegas, or has money to throw away on pills and booze. There are people with bigger problems in the world who'll never be able to blog about them. Just listen to that line in Omissions of the Omen. Don't get me wrong; this is NOT a personal attack on the man by any stretch, I'm giving my view on the content of his blog, which is what the purpose of this topic is [i think]. And if there's something wrong with that, then I'll desist from posting.

Not only is it boring, almost every personal post seems little more than an entry looking for sympathy and well-wishing. I hope his new album does the talking.

What are you talking about?! Bellamy's voice is far superior to anything Yorke has ever mustered [and I say this as a fan of both bands]. To the original topic at hand, I have found Black Holes and Revelations to be the least exciting and least enjoyable album from Muse. Its predecessors - particularly Origins of Symmetry - are far superior in my opinion. I find with this album that they've become quite mainstream and abandoned some of their roots [i don't mind bands branching out if it benefits their music, but I don't think it does for this trio]. Having seen them live, I can honestly say that they put on an outstanding show. Bellamy running from the piano - which is usually on a higher plateu - down to the main stage before the opening notes in the "Newborn" riff will always stick in my mind. Anyway, that's just me.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing. While things were fine and dandy in Camp Good, I heard few grumblings about her.

So tell me, how easy is it to get hold of drugs where you are? Its beauty is its diversity. Just taking the first four tracks from the albun is an indication of just how much the album offers. I wouldn't say Audio of Being is light years ahead of Beautiful Midnight, but it's a darker, more accomplished effort I would say. Although I'm still scratching my head as to how "All Together" didn't make the cut.

Special Needs is a solid track. You'd be surprised, I picked up their Best Of or Greatest Hits a while ago and it's pretty good, they've more singles than I thought.

When I saw Mulholland Drive, I kept thinking the film producer in it was acted by Matthew Good. There was just something about his mannerisms that seemed Good-esque. Whatever Good-esque is, that is.

ha ha! I like that. I've listened to Matt since the very beginning. I think that music was right for it's time, and for the age he was then. I can understand the idea that the dynamic between the band members may have brought some inspiration Matt wouldn't have had solo; but the SONGS were written by him. It doesn't matter who is around, if his style of writing (and taste in music) has completely changed. You're right - the style and form of songs of the Beautiful Midnight era were fitting for the time of its release. But, didn't Genn co-write a lot of the music?

What astounds me about them is that while I've only heard their album once or twice at a friend's, I've read some album reviews, and it really is going down like a treat. Journalists are licking their lips with this thing; I think I read "the future of rock" [yes, he referred to it as 'rock']. Piling such pressure and prestige on a mediocre generic band makes it impossible for them to perform and live up to any expectations. Next.

Right. Last one I found went off-topic midway through and lost steam, dated about three weeks ago. I hope "us people" don't get on your nerves. I mean no offence. Rather, I don't know the man from Pat, nor am I going to pretend that I do; referring to him as Matt might make it seem like I am. Call me pernickety.
