Hmm...I have no clue as to which band your friend is talking about, although if you want to listen to some other good jazz-rock fusion music, then check out Chick Corea's Return To Forever, Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra, or pretty much anything by Miles Davis released after 1969 (Bitches Brew is a good place to start as that album really popularized the whole fusion style).

I'm fairly certain that in Ancient Greek times homosexuality was encouraged in at least the athletes so that they wouldn't be distracted by the women. I don't remember where I read that, but I am certain that homosexuality wasn't frowned upon then.

I don't know why, but I'm actually kind of looking forward to this record, even though I really didn't like their last two.

Yeah, the people who are the angriest over the government's intervention probably won't remember Terri Schiavo come November 2006, despite the fact that a Time poll shows that 54% of respondents say that if their member of Congress voted to move the case to the federal courts, then they'd be more likely to vote against them. (btw, I'm well aware of some of the faults of citing polls, and only one poll at that ;) )

None of those really apply to me, actually. If a gay-bisexual person tried to get into my pants, I wouldn't feel any negativity towards them because they were gay or bisexual.

I think that it's actually hurting their careers more than advancing them. Polls show that about 70% of Americans think it was completely inappropriate of the politicians to get involved in this, and that the government shouldn't be involving themselves in the personal affairs of this family.
