A lot of stuff that he presents are things that I've read earlier before he compiled everything. When he said that the Bin Ladens were allowed by the US government to leave as a special favour or whatever, I remembered reading about that in the news. Where the "special favour" part of it comes in is his own interpretation and opinion of what's been reported. He's essentially a political commentator, and that's what he's doing.

It's not a great song, anyway.

The Fine Art Of Falling Apart was played live as an encore before Audio Of Being came out. Then, it was called 'Over Me'. There's a bootleg floating around out there that I've listened to. It's not great quality, though.

Antics is a good album, but not as good as Turn On The Bright Lights. I haven't lost faith though, since the weaker songs on Antics are just as good as the stronger material of some other bands. -

Just - Radiohead -
I was just thinking that the drums from 'Little Terror' sound a lot like the drums in 'Sing, Sing, Sing' by Benny Goodman. I dunno, maybe I'm just tired, or maybe it's the Tylenol-3, but I think that the two are pretty similar.

Cool FM has the "Masters of Jazz", which is pretty good stuff. It's on from 10pm to midnight on weekdays. w00t! -
The piano (if that's what it is) reminded me slightly of 'Rock & Roll' by Led Zeppelin in the chorus after the solo. It eventually became Ex-Pats. Next time you listen to either one, notice how the guitar lines are pretty similar.

I'm not a Catholic. I really don't care who they picked as pope, although I probably should. Juanpe, you should know better than to label this guy a Nazi just because he joined the Hitler Youth when it was compulsory. His beliefs aren't in keeping with most of ours, but "Nazi", I think, is a bit much.

I had high hopes for the jazz station here, Cool FM. But now that Izzy Asper, an avid jazz fan, is dead, the content is getting more to pop. In a few years the new management there is probably going to change it to a hip-hop format ;) . Then I'll have to get my jazz fix from the French and college stations at certain times of the day (usually when I don't have a radio handy is when it gets played). -

Matthew Good's Style Through The Years

Well, after Avalanche, how much more studio work could be done on an album like that. It was pretty well polished. I guess you could say that Avalanche was his studio pinnacle, in a manner of speaking. After being able to accomplish that, I'd think he's just going to do the more stripped-down affairs. Other than that, there is a definite change in the styles of the albums. LOTGA and earlier demos all have that folksy vibe to them; Underdogs had a grungier sound to it, kind of like the Pixies and earlier Radiohead. BM and AoB are both pretty intense, as well as darker and deeper than the last few releases. Avalanche is the mellowing out album, and WLR&RR is just rocking out. (Heh, "just.") -
That one's actually pretty good. A lot better than the one I found last year. Is that a piano I hear, too?

Maybe if they just booted out Fred Durst they wouldn't be such a big joke. -

Weren't there others who had to approve those cuts, first?
