  1. If I was a chocolate bar, all the ladies would want me to melt in their mouths.
  2. I walk into a non-Blockbuster video store. Pic-a-Flick has all movies for 99 cents on Thursdays. Awesomeness.
  3. Shit, I lent my Fake Book to a friend a while back. Here's a recording of it by Ahmad Jamal if your ear is any good (which mine isn't ;) ) and you can listen for the chords. http://beta.yousendit.com/transfer.php?act...E1C691936A6F294
  4. I bet I could guess...
  5. Hopefully there'll be no brain aneurisms this time around.
  6. My kids are going to be called delicious.
  7. Left and Leaving - The Weakerthans
  8. Neil Young's the man. I heard that he's touring with CSN&Y this summer. I'm so there ;) . PS: his "famed Canadian journalist" father was a sports broadcaster.
  9. What about Dweezil and Moon Unit?
  10. He got too big for his britches.
  11. With any luck, the world will end on that day. It would be a good joke.
  12. Yeah, same here. Actually, it could fit the past two weeks for me, too.
  13. I downloaded the My Iron Lung EP yesterday, it's pretty cool if you're more into the earlier Radiohead stuff. I believe it's made up mostly of b-sides from The Bends.
  14. Space exploration is a hoax.
  15. I should have a licence to kill.
  16. What's a Matthew Good?
  17. http://www.musictheory.net A friend of mine told me about this site last night. It's great for ear training.
  18. http://www.myspace.com/tedleo This has only one song, but I like it and I definitly will look for more. Thanks!
  19. Top notch jazz drummers: Max Roach Art Blakey Philly Joe Jones (you'll hear him in the Miles Davis group from the 50's. Albums like Milestones, Cookin', Workin', Steamin' and Relaxin'.) You'll hear a lot of interaction between the drummer and soloist instead of the drummer just sticking to one pattern. A big part of jazz drumming is playing what comes naturally as the music goes along in order to compliment the soloist. A great way to learn is just to listen to as many recordings as possible. One popular way to play jazz/blues is with a shuffle feel by accenting beats 2 and 4 in the measure. 1+2+3+4+, and so forth.
  20. Hey kids! You can be just like me! ;)
  21. I think it's only been once or twice. It was 'Eat It' by Weird Al.
  22. I think it's actually closer to 800,000. What's good music to be depressed to?
