this is getting a little bigger than abortion now, but it DOES affect you somehow. when the collective conscience is continually numbed it affects everyone. when people have no expectations put on them to BE responsible human beings, they won't. they don't. -
i'd probably do ANYthing she told me to, she's purty.
-
i'd love it, but it doesn't seem like something he'd do. i don't know why, i just can't see it happening.
-
What are you listening to?

the new drive by punch record. a good start to a bad day. damn i love this band -
like i said, everyone who hasn't tried it needs to.
-
i really really like nafl on rooms. i think it feels haunting and a little scary even.
-
sweety, don't knock it til you've tried it. i think everyone who has someone to hump needs to do it to avalanche as soon as possible, just so that we're all on the same page here.

i don't often remember dreams, but i am a big sleep-talker. and i sometimes you think you've woken me up, eyes are open and everything, and we'll have a conversation that i won't remember at all, because i'm still sleeping. sunglasses - expensive ones for the quality, or cheap ones because you know you're going to sit on them or lose them in a week anyway?

heh, we've only done it to that CD once, so I don't really know, although I'm sure it could be done relativly easily with a bit of restraint. It's just because it was her first time, my mission (and here comes too much information again) was to 'break her in', so to speak. It really wasn't an enjoyable experiance for her, as it hurt her a lot. So basically, I wanted to get to the point where she was broken in to the point where future sex would be more enjoyable, but not really wanting to push it any longer than it had to be for that purpose. And Load Me Up felt about right. In retrospect it should have been a bit longer, as it wasn't until the 4th or 5th time (about 2 weeks later. lol) that she really started enjoying sex as opposed to it being painful and unpleasant. i don't like that term "break her in" in fact, i think i might throw up.

i think ravenous yam makes some good points. and that's all that i've been trying to say all along, pregnancy from consentual sex is your responsibilty for having sex. sex makes babies. if you don't want babies, or can't handle the responsibility of having one (whether that be raising it or carrying it to term and giving it up for adoption) don't have sex. how is the murder of unborn children justifiable in these cases? -
i'm actually very torn up about stephanie. i think she's the best player, but i know what you mean about arrogant. like that day when the four of them were sitting on top of the ruins and stephanie made lydia go get her water. and lydia DID. that bugged me.

1. the statement about my family's history with rape was not meant to say i'm some authority on the subject, just saying i'm fully aware that women can become pregnant from rape. 2. if we could limit abortions to "emergency" situations i would seriously rethink my stance on the subject. the fact is we can't say "the government gets to choose who can and who can't" it's got to be the same for everyone. 3. the government regulates daily what we can and can not do to our own bodies. drug use, for example. regardless of your stance on when a baby becomes a human and not a part of another human's body, you have to agree that drug use physically affects only the users body. self abuse, as well. the government can have you locked up if a person in a position of authority feels you are a risk to your own safety. we're not allowed to kill ourselves but we're allowed to have abortions? 4. i have to apologize as well. after your statement about the number of abortions, i assumed your whole argument for abortion was "what about rape". apparently it's not. (though, i must say, to argue that 50 million children would've ended up in foster care and then argue that abortion is justified in the case of protecting the mothers health is contradictory.) moonlight graham first, i was kidding. second- if we argue in a different thread, one that clearly labels what we're discussing, we're inviting a whole lot of kids to the party and too many less than educated opinions. maybe you should move your thread to something called "abortion: what do YOU think?" -
there you go! let's argue in here! i'm on the "raw and stripped down" side gimme your best shot

RE: WLRRR as a raw and stripped down record.... or not if you "beg to differ" or if you disagree in any way, i'm going to start a thread to talk about JUST that, so we don't get cloudy heads with all of this sex talk RE: closer - NIN my two cents: the song itself - regardless of the story the whole record creates - is a piece of ART. not a message. it is not saying that sex is dirty, that sex is "a vile degrading act" or anything negative about sex at all. it's a piece of art in the sense that the lyrics and the music come together to create picture i like to call "primitive". the beats, the sounds, the lyrics, the vocals, it's just a piece of art. is whistler's mother an ageist statement? that all old ladies are miserable? she's not smiling! is andy warhol racist in the sense that he only likes people who are of unnatural colors like purple and green and orange? of course not. it's just art. as far as people using it as a sexy song: there's something REALLY REALLY hot about tear-your-clothes-off-do-it-on-the-kitchen-floor-primitive-animal-sex. it isn't degrading if you and the person you're humping have healthy self esteems and respect for each other.

here it is @ boston.com: "Senate OK's oil drilling in Arctic refuge Close vote kills bid to remove measure from budget bill By Susan Milligan, Globe Staff | November 4, 2005 WASHINGTON -- The Senate yesterday narrowly approved a plan to allow oil and gas drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, paving the way for energy exploration in an environmentally sensitive region that has been closed to developers for more than four decades. ''We're stepping down the road to energy independence," a jubilant Senator Ted Stevens, Republican of Alaska, said after the 48-to-51 vote, which killed a last-ditch effort to strip the measure from a sweeping budget bill." from cnn:the whole article "With a 51-48 vote, the Senate approved requiring the Interior Department to begin selling oil leases for the coastal plain of the Alaska refuge within two years. Repeated attempts to approve such drilling have failed in the Senate because drilling supporters were unable to muster the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster by opponents. This year, drilling supporters attached language ending the ban on drilling in the refuge to a budget measure that is immune from filibuster. Opening the refuge, which was set aside for protection 44 years ago, has been one of President Bush's top energy priorities." all of this is from nov. 4th, so maybe somethings changed. i'll keep looking okay, found something from the 14th. it says here that the house has voted and the bill has been pulled. so we're both right.
