I don't care for Ruth Chris's either...not very tasty to be honest. Texas Roadhouse though, can make the fuck of any meat they touch. Ribs that fall of the bone, steak done to perfection, chicken tender and juicy. I have to say, that Alberta beef is pretty damned good.

You know, I liked Max Payne....It could have been so much more. It had the potential to really be something special. Like Doom. Doom could have been so Bad Ass...but the script was just too fucking lame. In both cases, it was like the writers had no real concept of the games. The upside for Doom, was that Dwayne Johnson, did a great job...he just didn't have shit to work with. I'm going to put Max Payne in the lab(My movie thread, and to make it cooler) I really do like Mark Wahlberg. He has this weird thing about...doing a fucking awesome movie...and then sending a mannequin in to do his next one. He has this gift which, he shows in the Departed, The Big Hit, Four Brothers, Three Kings, and then you see Max Payne, The Happening and Planet of the Apes...and it's like...is this the same guy? I definitely liked the action...but you had all of this emotional content, that he just chewed his way through...which he didn't do in Four Brothers, which I think is probably one of his finest moments on film. Oh yeah, I watched Mary Poppins with the 4 year old last night.

I said the same thing. I loved Nirvana, the music was good stuff. But Cobain, just came off like a trainwreck from the beginning, and there was always that feeling of, this is going to end badly, with him. The MTV unplugged, was what really sent the message to me...he seemed like a ghost. When it was over, it was over...there was no real need for anymore music from them. With Layne, there was always this hope that he would get it together. Even more so, there was something so alive in the music. His lyrics are still like living breathing things. It always feels like there should be more from him.

Dan, that's coldblooded about you Dad. I'm sorry. The death penalty is a very tough subject. While I do agree that it's an easy way out...certain crimes, like the murder of a child, the molestation of a child, rape...I just sit back an wonder...how do you get rid of the monster that haunts the victims after the fact. I also feel that the legal system is too flawed for it to be a fair practice. Then lastly, what gives anyone the right to decide who lives and who dies. Granted, if you can commit a crime, shouldn't you be liable for it, even if the penalty is death? The subject is like a never ending riddle.

I was a little older than you when they first came on the scene(Not that much though) They opened for Van Halen, and I WAS TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY!!!It was one of those rare times when a headliner was picked by a major band, that actually kicked ass!!! They have always been one of my favs...someone once told me it was blasphemy for me to say this, but I was more bothered by Layne's death, than Cobain's. As for the rest of what you said...that can both ways. I never doubted any of that about you...it just seems to get clouded in some of the not so nice things you say.

Wow, that was a most lucid and profound, posting Mrs. Jesus...I'll admit again, that the name thing kind of bothered me...but I give credit where credit is due, and Duvall, is a bad motherfucker, and they definitely gelled as a unit very nicely. I don't give a shit what they're called...as long as that album is kick ass.
