I don't know...the whole point of doing good and having good experiences, is to perpetuate them. I would argue the temporary nature of those experiences. Call it Karmic renewal... My job frustrates me and causes me great discomfort...working with kids, and charities, spending time with family and friends, balances that out...and keeps my belief that there is good in the world, alive and kicking.
