In this round we start the process of bringing back songs from the dead. This is sort of a side process for eliminated songs. After round 3, we will be down to 18 songs, but two songs eliminated in either round 1, 2, or 3 will be brought back into the competition at this point to create a top 20. All song duplicates, i.e. "rooms" versions, will not be eligible to be brought back. From each section rank 4 songs 1 - 4 to determine points awarded. 1) 3 points 2) 2 points 3) 1 point 4) .5 points Two songs from each section will be brought back to compete for a chance to return later on. Songs are listed in the groups they were eliminated in, with Groups A-D in Section X and Groups E-H in Section Y. Weapon already won its round 1 matchup, however it was requested that it compete against Massey Hall. So why not? The winner will simply be subbed into Weapon's current slot in the competition. 10) Weapon vs. Weapon (Massey Hall) - Weapon defeated Failing the Rorshach Test in round 1 - MY VOTE - After a few careful listens, I'll go with Massey Hall Round 1.5 will start Saturday at midnight, where we will pick 2 songs eliminated in this round to stage a comeback later on, and then we can finally start round 2 on Wednesday. Happy voting everyone!
  10. By The Way - Red Hot Chili Peppers
  11. I love that song and had forgotten about it anyways... Put Out Your Lights - Matthew Good
  12. well, after 20 votes there is at least one tie here, wonder if anyone will break it before noon!
  13. Good Man - Josh Ritter
  14. Come on people, only 16 votes so far! Have your say or you'll be complaining when it's all over that someone decided that... RICO was declared the greatest Matt Good song ever! (okay, that may be unlikely to happen, but my point stands)
  15. Smile Like You Mean It - The Killers
  16. I originally typed it as "If I Was a Tidal Wave" also but it was listed as "I Wish..." in my iTunes and upon looking at the version up in the nf store it also refers to it as "I Wish..." (which makes sense since I originally downloaded it from there) so I changed it. Now, looking in the lyrics section I see that there it is listed as "If I.." w/e.
  17. I'm thinking..... no.
  18. We should just be happy we even have the chance to see him perform, whatever he performs. Who cares if he doesn't play that song you really wanted to see. These setlists have been getting posted here since the beginning of the tour so if you read them it is pretty obvious what to expect at the show, yet somehow you are all still disappointed. Matt is entitled to play whatever he wants, it's his gift to us, and if we aren't going to appreciate it for what it is he may as well stop touring and then we'll really be crying for more. I was at the Dawson Creek show, which was fantastic. No, it wasn't my "dream setlist," but who cares? We all have songs we like that others probably don't. You can't possibly placate to everyone, especially in a bullshit one horse town in the middle of fuckin nowhere where there were likely very few hardcore fans. Someone posted on Matt's facebook fan page wall that they were disappointed that there was no Alabama Motel Room or Hello Time Bomb at that show. Are you fucking kidding me? Should have went to a show ten years ago, but I guess you didn't so get over it.
