How is Matthew Good a celebrity? He's known for his work with a band from back in the nineties, that's not really "celebrity" status. Don't get me wrong I like lots of musicians and bands who are known and definitely not celebrities, and that's cool, but I think that the term is mis-used sometimes. don't be silly, no one is saying he's harrison ford or bono even to use a more famous musican. He is well known especially in Canada, and has a fairly strong influence. If this site itself isn't enough, do you think anyone would read his blog if it wasn't for his "cleb" status?

the new Coheed is all over the place, while kinda sounding the same the whole way though all at once. I like it but I feel 2nd stage is better, and their shabutie stuff is better than that. The new Cd reeks of money and production. Not that it's a bad thing at all, just a lot more going on.

Will Haven is pretty heavy almost constantly ala converge. Catharsis is pretty fucking heavy w/o being straight up "noise" Piecemeal(rip) was fucking hardcore to hell. Corpse is pretty hard I personally think Six Feet Under is a bit stronger. Gwar? ? is metal but no where near heavy like what Dan is thinking of. Gwar ps - awesome show. Glassjaw is good as shit but is way not heavy they might not even by hardcore other than who they play with. One band that isn't hard like your thinking of but look out at a show is the misfits..even today it's pretty sick.
