  1. I wish he had played more Bside stuff like Flight Recorder. I feel like a dork for asking this, but what album was that instrumental piece from, the part that was played over the PA just before he went on?
  2. Yea, the show was absolutely amazing as always. This was my third time seeing Matt live, I think my fave show was when he was on the Avalanche tour playing at The Drink in London, maybe I love that one the best because it was my first Matt Good concert, but it was amazing. At the beginning of the show they had a laser set up that said "hello" and conversely, at the end "goodbye" and the Dears opened for them, and the crowd was just so excited they all kept yelling things out to him and matt was like "I think we should just set up a microphone and people can just line up and say whatever they want to say" or something to that effect. I wanted to meet Matt, I saw him sitting on the stairs in the tour bus before the show, but by the time it ended my back was sooo sore and I was so tired, I was practically falling asleep during the L&G. Next time though. At the Mod Club show I got to touch him during near fantastica, and at this past concert I bought the Cd/Dvd dealy that came with an autographed poster, so im coming closer in small increments.
  3. You should hold up a sign limo driver style that says "The Bored" I cant get there early, but I'll be there around 5ish and I'll probably be all in black and my hair is black on top and fuscia under and short-ish, so if any one of you see me come say hi.
  4. American Beauty, Seven, The life of David Gale (Yes I know theyre all Kevin Spacey movies)
  5. Yeah I remember Serial Joe, the first time I saw the Mistake video I was on acid and if anyone remembers the girl in the video, the one with the tarot cards, well, she really tripped me out because she looks almost identical to me, it was sooo fucked up, so at the time I thought, maybe I just had REALLY good acid, but I saw the video a hundred times after that and yep, the evil tarot girl still looked like me, freaky stuff, reminds me of this other time that I was flipping through a porn magazine and looking in the amateur section and I saw this girl that looked like me and for a minute I thought it was me until I really looked at the pic, I dont wear big hoop earrings and I dont wear blue, she had both. Ahh good times.
  6. "You do realize there was music recorded before 1989... What is this? You're wearing the shirt of the band you're going to see? Don't be that guy!!" /possibly the best movie evar That is the very reason I never wear the shirt of the band I'm going to see, man that movie rocked. And as far as wearing team jersies, thats completely different. Sports and art have different rules anyhow.
  7. Its funny I was just thinking of this very topic on the way to work this morning with the whole "Toronto is the centre of the universe" thing, I recall that it was a marketing ploy, and who listens to commercials anyhow, more importantly why would the rest of the country take what some dude sitting in his office who makes a living making things look good what he has to say as the be all and end all of how the people of Toronto feel about Toronto. Do these same people think that all rappers love milk? I dont think so. I like Toronto, Im pretty happy here, but I certainly don't think that it's the best city in the universe.
  8. Bah I hate the Milk Rap commercial sooo much. If I remember correctly I emailed them and told them so, I guess they didnt listen. The ranch commercial is terrible too, his voice is soo evasive. I need noise to sleep so I sleep with the tv on and here I am on my way to dream land and then my sleepy bubble gets popped with the aggrivating tooths voice. Not good.
  9. The movie "Stay" looks pretty good, and I'm not normally a Ryan Gosling fan, but he looks damn hot in this movie.
  10. Theyre a fun band, and I think although the lyrics arent always or ever that deep and thought provoking, what they do write is pretty clever. Most of the time I like my music to be intelegent etc, but its nice at times to just sit and listen to silly stuff.
