I had something good, But it goes better in the "why people hate emo" topic. -
New (sorta) Deftones Cd
worldofnoise replied to HoboFactory's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I have that White Pony [Limited Edition] (in red) I was pissed that it never had mini maggit (back to school). But you have heard Boy's Republic, right? -
If I heard right, he lived on Foster Ave., across from the golf course.

Just a, "Quick Question" In your opinion what is the best app for ripping a DVD? I use Mac The Ripper, but my Caluclus prof would like to "back up" some movies on his PC. I have no idea what to recommend...

If you have to, kill them with kindness. Build them some reactors, operate them. How could they say no? Unless they really do want to build weapons. -
Well yes. And the story behind why it does for me, relates well to the song. Moving away from Hollywood and all.

I have to say that Kelly Clarkson is the one decent thing that's come of reality TV. A Long Way Down, that song makes me sad. More because of what (and when) it reminds me of, rather than just the song itself.

I don't think I've ever seen Matt Good ever get hit with anything. Seen him 5+ times or so. Like others have mentioned it's just the rowdy school crowd. Edit: Syntax was terrible.

Acoustic (with acoustic bass) Tube, Solid State or Digital?

Recording
worldofnoise replied to collinsguy's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
As far as programs go, I've played around on Nuendo, Cubase and Logic. If you go the Mac route (read $) Logic or Logic Express would be my suggestion as it is purpose built and very stable. On Windows, Nuendo was great. Also MOTU makes some really nice (read $) interfaces. Buy one good condenser mic and maybe a 'box' of drum mics like these which could be used to mic bass / guitar as well. Depends on what sound you like, e.g. I like to use a D-2 on the bass amp because I like the tone. And the "industry standard" for live vocals the Beta 58. It likes to hang about, and gets used quite a bit. -
That cd was insane to rip to mp3. I tried a bunch of programs before I found one that would rip it for me. I forget which one eventually did it (might have been exact audio copy), but I was a happy guy when it finally worked. Copy protection has it's place, but when you actually own the cd, and simply want to listen to it in your playlist with other albums, it can be very irritating. Not to mention those of us with .mp3 players and whatnot. All the cds that I have in my car are copies. So I don't worry about them, nothing worse than getting a cd wallet full of originals stolen.

My Name Is Earl

O.K. Here it is. [176Mb] My Name Is Earl SE01E01, DVD Screener, Xvid, .avi format. May also be AC3 audio? I don't know, it worked for me but i have all the codecs. If you don't know what codec you need to play it, get the VLC player it's way easier then trying to install the audio/video codec. And it plays everything! My Name Is Earl Well, just over an hour. Edit: Yousendit is slow... -

Crap, I deleted it when I was cleaning. I meant to keep it I'll re-DL and yousendit, post link <1 Hour -
i've only encountered one and that was a perfect circle thirteenth step... I don't have thirteenth step, but I do have eMotive and that imported fine.
-
I've found that iTunes is pretty lenient on the copy protection. I haven't met a copy-protected cd yet that it didn't import first go. But, whatever you do don't install the 'player' that comes on the copy protected cds.

I got a rip of the first episode if anyone wants it.... -
naw, I'll save my hard earned NF$. I edited down the one I did as well, for my own listening pleasure.

My vote goes for Prime Time Deliverance. Although if this was a poll for best reworking, it is imo, a tie between Generation X-Wing and Hello Time Bomb.
-
Sure picked the right time to put it up on eBay. Sealed? yeah, righhht.

So what's my cut for recording? j/k. Did you even use the FM rip?

The Mars Volta
worldofnoise replied to Paranoid Android's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
I liked Sparta first, and when I got into the history of the band, I bought the Mars Volta stuff. I think I like it better than Sparta, well for now at least... -
I see. I figured that they all could be played without stopping. ;) I was just wondering about the cd, like all the acoustic songs on one track. Thanks for the clarification though.
