Ooops. Also, I need a decent program that will allow me to continue to use msn messenger or windows live messenger. I'm using Adium right now but it doesn't perform as well as I'd prefer.

Hey everyone, I just bought a new MacBook Pro and formerly used Windows. I'm probably going to end up getting Bootcamp or something to use Windows on my mac in addition to OS X but I'd like to avoid it if at all possible. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has used quality, functional programs on the mac that are comparible to the following programs: CDex Nero 6 Ultra Edition ID3 TagIT 3 FLAC Frontend dBpowerAMP Also, any good Anti-Virus Programs or adware and spyware removal programs? Any help anyone can give me would be really appreciated. I've been searching and reading product reviews over the past few days and have managed to find mac versions of other programs or replace them but I'm looking to speed up the process just a bit. Thanks in advance. ;)

Mg(b) - So Good It Makes You Shiver!

Rat Who Would Be King - 1st verse Acoustic Tripoli - beginning of 2nd verse Acoustic AOP - Chorus PTD - Headlight Morning Glow I'm sure there are a few others but those come to mind off of the top of my head. A lot of Johnny Cash and Matt Mays does this to me as well. -
My friend eats Cheerios and mayo. He'd even just eat mayo. It's nasty. The weirdest thing I normally eat is peanut butter on hot dogs. It sounds gross but it's actually pretty decent. I mixed KD with some taco mix the other day. It was good except it would have been better with rotini and real cheddar because it would hold more of the sauce on the noodles. Sometimes my girlfriend makes me 1/2 chicken noodle and 1/2 tomato soup and pours it into a bowl that has grated cheddar cheese at the bottom. It tastes pretty good.

It was worth a shot. And yeah, I've got 2 of them. That's why I included money with my offer 'cause it's totally not a fair trade on its own. US BM Promo, some MG stickers, and money?

;) what model? and did you play it first? i had a horrible experience with washburn. bought an acoustic (wd118sw) online, brand new, impulse buy and it was a total lemon. solid top acoustic and it had the flattest, most lifeless sound ever. had the nut and saddle upgraded to bone to rectify the situation and put on heavier strings and it still sounded like ass. ended up selling it to some noob for about 2/3 what i paid, less the nut/saddle upgrade expenses. Fuuuuck, seriously? Yeah, I did the same thing. Bought it brand new online. Mainly because I'm left handed and I can't find shit locally. And stringing upside down blows. I did check out some reviews for the guitar though before buying, everything seemed treally positive. I got the Washburn D46SCE. best of luck. washburn have a pretty good rep, so mine was more than likely just a lemon or just a sucky sounding model to begin with. btw, i'm left handed too, but i play right. the first time i went shopping for guitars, i was at halifax folklore and mentioned that i was left handed to the guy helping me out and he said "have you ever seen a left handed piano?" i thought that was a good point. I started out playing right handed and then my life kinda got really out of whack and busy and I didn't have time for it anymore. It was frustrating at first and then I got a left handed electric and I picked up much faster but I think that could be due to everything I had already learned about theory and shit. My brain could focus on my hands more and not what I was trying to read. You totally make a really good point though, and I really would have been better off playing right handed simply because of how much easier it is to find shit. It would probably take a little bit more time to build the dexterity but not really much more at all. And yeah, you're still learning to do different shit with each hand anyway so it doesn't matter that much. I've actually been debating learning both ways so I could jam on my friends' guitars as well. It probably wouldn't take that long.

Every LCD television I've ever seen has fuckin' shitty definition; they're blurry as shit. Then again I don't know whjat kind ofa refresh rate they have but I would assume at least one TV out of the 100 that I've seen would be decent. In most LCD televisions I can actually see the scan line behind the images on the screen. It's awful.

Best "top 40" Band?
Monochrome Rainbow replied to sodamntired's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Yeah, I've been checking the tour dates. They're touring quite a bit right now just unfortuntately not visiting Halifax any time soon. That New Year's show will be really good though. Yeah, I have no idea what it's like anywhere else but the radio here is playing RHCP's "Tell Me Baby" all the time. They play a lot of the singles from Californication too. And Under The Bridge, but that's a given. -
Best "top 40" Band?

RHCP are totally a radio band. They get tons of radioplay here. Sam Roberts is awesome; Matt Mays if even more awesome (I can't wait to see him live again, I hope he comes back to Halifax soon). Coldplay are okay. They've got some really strong songs but also lots of filler, in my opinion. I honestly don't get a lot of the hype for this band. My friend works with this guy that repeatedly refers to them as "this generations' The Beatles". I'm not a HUGE Beatles fan by any means but I'd still call this quite the stretch. -
Definitely poor taste. No pun intended. ;)

The exact same thing happened to me last night, except I did end up buying a new Washburn acoustic-electric.

Vodka and Red Bull. That really popular Hinder track. Buying way too many new toys. Not being productive at work.

What a crazy beatnik! PS. The more recent OLP stuff blows but I like pre-Spiritual Machines material quite a bit. Spiritual Machines had some pretty weak tracks on it but also some really awesome stuff. -
I bite the skin around my nails, and chew my lower and upper lips. Also, when I'm unshaven over the weekends I'm always playing with my facial hair and sometimes I'll actually grab some and pull it out of the skin without even realizing. It's really bad; I hate that I do this. I also slouch a lot, but only when I'm sitting at a desk. Otherwise I have decent posture.

Damn I work at Future Inns Dartmouth, so that's right down the street. I thought I saw some caution tape there yesterday but didn't think much of it... I don't really remember though, I wasn't paying much attention to anything at the time. That's fucked up. Yeah, he definitely had to be under the influence of something to pull that one off.

That's crazy, man. Where was this at? I didn't see anything in the papers or on the news either...

Ultimate Video Game Console Debate
Monochrome Rainbow replied to mself084's topic in Open Discussion
I voted for Wii. The pricepoint is a big plus but also, Nintendo is trying some really new things and the ability to play all the classics is awesome. And for those who don't like the new controller they can use the other more traditional controller. Sony has awesome developers but they're slowly losing exclusive rights to a lot of great titles, so that won't matter too much. And to me, graphics and picture quality aren't everything. I can't wait for new Zelda, Mario Galaxy (March 2007), and Red Steel. The only thing that pisses me off about Nintendo is that you're restricted to a white console. The DS is fucked too, you get white in NA, black in the UK, etc. It's fucking stupid. -

'03 is 'way back in the day'? are you six years old? Hahaha, just seems like awhile, in all honesty I thought it orignally came out in like 2001 or something. And that's kinda my saying for anything that happened before my high school graduation. Sorry, force of habit. ;) sorry for being a dick  Hah, oh no... I didn't get that impression at all, actually. Thought you were joking in a relatively lighter fashion. S'all good. And yeah, no weird echo or anything in the Cunard Centre. Actually, I used to do live sound for some local bands when I lived on the south shore so I've got a pretty good ear and I usually have at least one or two minor complaints about the sound quality at live shows, but this one was perfect. I was really, really impressed. Maybe they've upgraded their sound system or improved upon the building since the person you were referring to was there... Or maybe they had an awful sound tech.
