Meh the crown of shit/thorns thing isn't that bad, really. It irks me sometimes because they both kinda sound out of place but it just caught me after a weird conversation with some moron. I retract my previous statement of them being retarded. I like Cash's version more than NIN's though.

Overall I think the song is pretty strong lyrically and can be very moving at times. I really enjoy the song but I think crown of shit sounds fucking retarded and whiny... That lyric always stand out for me. I think crown of thorns is pretty fucking lame too but I also think he changed it to identify with/personalize the song a bit more, I seriously doubt he was uncomfortable swearing, I've heard worse come out of his mouth.

I don't hold them in high regard or bother watching them, but I do like it when artists I enjoy get recognized for their work. I'm super glad k-os got a lot of nominations and yeah, I didn't understand how Matt Mays only got the one nomination; I do agree that it was the best Canadian release last year. I'm glad to see Young and The Hip get nominations. Same with Sam Roberts and Sara Harmer. Whatever. Good luck to them but I don't really care that much.

I really dig that cover. NIN version is sweet too but they're both good for different reasons, in my opinion. I'll probably download this album when it comes out... I haven't even bothered with "With Teeth" yet. I should give that a listen.

I want a house full of music and musical instruments. I rip all of my music onto my hd for making playlists and exporting music to my mp3 player (who uses portable CD players anymore? Tooooo bulky.) but nothing compares to actually listening to a CD. It sounds fantastic compared to this mp3 garbage. And I don't encode to lossless because it's huge and I don't have the hd space and my portable player won't support it. Plus I love holding the album in my hands and looking at the artwork and stuff, and I really like supporting the musicians by buying whatever I really dig. I'll never buy shitty 128 kb/s mp3's from iTunes; that's ridiculous.
