So are they letting in people with cameras? The ticket doesn't say "No cameras/No recorders." Yet, I'm still weary about bringing mine in case I have to leave it in the car. matt is asking people to post pics of live shows so i think it's safe to assume security will be allowing cameras. as an added note, i've never seen a 'no cameras' clause on any mg/b ticket... camcorders, however have been a problem in the past, but i'm not sure what the deal is now. considering they were getting drunk at clubhouse i'd say $50 is par for tips (pun intended). but speaking of good tips, my girlfriend works at a pretty high end restuarant in vancouver and one of her fellow servers served al pacino the other day. he bought a $45 plate and left $200USD.

i heard in calgary that the minimum wage for a server is lesser than that of any other industry because they make the rest up in tips (hopefully). and i also know of a few places in downtown vancouver that dont even pay their servers or bartenders an hourly wage because of the amount of money they make in tips. as a side note, i just opened a sporting goods store and for fun enabled the 'add tip' option on the interac/visa machine and a few people have actually added a tip. i find THAT fucking funny.

i was getting ready to go to the bar last night. my buddy was coming over and i had music playing throughout the house, so i opened my front door, when i came back through the common there was two women and three kids standing in my foyer looking for candy. fucking people are getting agressive these days.

i was in white rock the other day and you could smell the stench from the women's washroom from the entrance to the mensroom. it actually smelled cleaner inside the mensroom than it did outside. i was also in a room the other day where every urinal, toilet and sink had puke in it.

i got the new bell expressvu dual tuner hd/pvr about a month ago (you can record two different shows at the same time while watching a third recorded show).... i've found myself doing the same as you, but also scanning through the guide days in advance and recording everything and anything of interest to me.

coldplay's x&y is supposedly copy-protected but my escient fireball had no problem copying it or downloading the album info. i think those warnings are more to scare people than anything. i remember way back in the day when limp bizkit albums were copy protected my buddy had it figured out within 20 minutes.

futureshop and bestbuy are a bigbox retailer, they sell all sorts of shit whereas hmv and musicworld sell music and dvds. basically, fs and bb dont care about making a few extra bucks on a cd, when they know they'll make it up by selling a fridge with a tv on the front of it. fyi, the big box stores make more money moving their products at cost to get your sale than they do by marking it up and competing with everyone else, because they're rewarded by volume not profit. moral: support smaller companies.

they pay more.
