  1. i've lived in coquitlam for 17 years and "dimed" is new to me. shitty for you.
  2. the paintings aren't recent and if you read the acknowledgements in each and every album, he personally thanks each artist (if applicable) for their work on his album art.
  3. could it be because you're from israel?
  4. visa - official sponsor of the impatient.
  5. scheduled for general motors place january 26th. anyone lining up for tickets next week?
  6. "dimed" means "out of it". which can be taken as "high" or "stoned" or even "tired" for that matter. it's a coquitlam thing, i'm pretty sure... because i've lived in coquitlam for 12 years and i probably havent gone a week without hearing it at least once.
  7. yeah. he just turned 18 and now he can afford the internet.
  8. in order to understand matt's lyrics you need to read them a certain way. the "you are an important part of the computer" line is supposed to be sarcasm or a lie. why? because the line that follows is "you are still here and so made to figure..." then the next time this line comes up is right before "but after this mission it will let you go" which i interpret as being "fired." so while you're here, you're made to feel important so you do a good job, and when the job is done, so are you. if you think about it in the manner of a huge corporation (america - possibly) using their employees (soldiers - possibly) as pawns in a huge game (puposless war - possibly), almost every line falls into place. the propaganda the american government feeds to the young people of america by means of ads promoting the good life of being a soldier is the "you are an important part of the computer". so the message of the song is, "here's whats happening, but don't worry because the only thing to fear is fear itself.... (can't fear fear. fear's a mind killer)"
  9. minimum wage is cool until you get some brat who agrees to be hired at $8/hr, lies through his teeth in his interview about his strong work ethic, then bitches to all his co-workers about how hard he works for no rewards (raise).... meanwhile i came back from my head office to find him playing minesweeper three out of the past four days.
  10. ebay is the best place.
  11. i recorded hello time bomb and weapon. the latter being the one that mysteriously disappeared.
  12. this "rule" is also at the employers discretion, obviously. the only company i have heard that actually applies the rule is mcdonalds. also, i thought the general minimum wage was $8.50???
  13. a restauarant i went to once had the flush button built into the floor so you could step on it with your shoe... to avoid germs i suppose.
  14. it costs MORE for a manual transmission???? what's the world coming to!?
  15. i'm pretty sure one of those guys was my drunk buddy. he couldnt remember anything the next day, so he spent a few minutes recapping by looking at my pics and videos. someone mentioned that they had a few of their videos that they thought they recorded disappear.... same with me. maybe matt has some kind of code grabbing technology enabled that erases random video clips from fans' cameras.
  16. yes. i love the compact hatchback, when the protege 5 and then the 3 came out i was impressed, however, i knew they would be really popular with consumers so i waited for a sport/luxury model to come out and audi did the trick for me.
  17. some public restrooms even have those prefab toilet seat covers that automatically wisk themselves away when you're done.
  18. it was ok. besides the fact that i was pretty much babysitting my completely hammered buddy, who was looking to start shit with anyone, it was the same as always... but definetly worth the money, time and the two hour wait to get my car released from a locked parkade on burrard at 2am.
  19. so matt was interviewed on 99.3 the fox and talked about a bunch of regular shit but at the end said "tonight i'll play for 90 minutes or so to conserve the voice but tomorrow all bets are off... i could be up there for 2 - 2.5 hours" that's gonna be sweet.
  20. They can't. But there will always be somebody out there stupid enough to work for them anyways. they can. it can be considered a commission. just like real estate agents only get paid when they sell a house. in certain situations, yes desperate times call for desperate measures... like working for 'free'. however, in situations like serving in a high end restuarant, the servers are usually very pleaseing to the eye, extremely personable, knowledgeable and they do an amazing job of creating an atmosphere that customers enjoy and remember. in turn for their unique traits, they make enourmous amounts in tips. keep in mind that restuarants and most establishments that pay their staff only on 'comission' usually add some sort of 'gratuity fee' to each and every bill. ensuring their server makes a decent profit from every table and more often than not, are presented with additional tips from their patrons on top of the required. but that's what you get when you please the elite, i suppose. quattro awd. so the donuts are tight and the drifting is fool proof.
  21. its loaded to the tits with all that safety shit, but if you run a laptop in your car to tune it, with most cars you have ther ability to turn it off, the G35 doesnt.
  22. who's going to show their face at the vancouver shows tonight and tomorrow?
  23. over and over again.
  24. when it comes down it, everyone has their own taste in cars. some like cars that drive them and others like to drive cars. some choose a car solely based on looks only. if i chose to spend $45,000 on a car that only looked and felt sexy, i'd own a G35. for me, i like cars that when upgraded, you can actually feel a difference, quality built, and allow you to put the hammer down and not have to worry about some computer taking over thinking you DON'T want to be spinning the tires and going sideways. that's why i chose the A3.
  25. the payments are fine, it's my obsession with lacoste that has been suffering lately.
