nhl players dont care about the olympics. they're goal is to win the stanley cup. this is why we wont see nhl players in the olympics after 2010. thats another guarantee.

the nhl trade deadline is upon us once again, and once again rumors are flying like planes in/out of LAX. there has already been movement, as dwayne roloson is now an oiler and marius czercawski was claimed off toronto waivers by boston. since i'm from vancouver, im obviously excited to see what our gm can pull off, i'm not expecting too much on this side, though, maybe a rental defenseman and a low end backup for auld. ed belfour might be shipped out along with mccabe, for all you toronto fans, and luongo might be a panther no more. post your thoughts/input/speculations here.

i'm just gonna start up my own blog and call it the EMBLOG and copy and paste news stories from the BBC and what not, then come up with witty titles for them. will that satisfy the masses?

was the shuttle run the one where you had to run to the cone, then back to the line, then to a further cone, then back to the line, etc? if so, i remember doing that in gym class and my buddy thought that all you had to do was beat the guy next to you, so he went hard for the first couple relays then basically jogged the rest of the way because he was kicking ass. it was hilarious to watch.

i dont think so. 6 tops. so maybe it was like 14 minutes in total... but i never realized the greatness of the moment until they played default after the three, and ruined the beautiful flow of great music.

i havent enjoyed a timmys sandwich since they first came out with the chicken salad one... now they are terrible.

currently i am craving the chicken blt from subway. i have had it four times in the past six working days, and my secretary is on her way to make it 5/7 right now. before that i was all over those 'build your own salad' places that charge by weight... and before that it was the mediterranean vegetables on foccacia from milestones. and it is seriously EVERY DAY til i move on to something else. anyone else like that?

...when you play nothing but rock on a rock station with no commercials or no djs, you play pretty much everything you can. i once heard matthew good-indestructible, led zeppelin-when the levee breaks and REM-orange crush all in a row... that was a good fucking 10 minutes.

i was sick from october to may and i still graduated with honours. ...and then 3 months after that signed a two year contract with milano vipers. my first day back, one of my instructors said "hey evan... did you get any of that homework done that i sent you?" and i said "no. i was sleeping 22 hours a day" and he says "you're dirty. you're dirtier than a dirtbag's wife." i'll never forget it.

i just noticed you said 35. Holy fuck boy, it's a good thing you didn't gain it all back if you could afford to lose that much in the first place. How'd you get mono? i was 185 in grade 12. 6'1", and basically no fat... at this point i was on my way to play semi-pro hockey in the summer after i graduated. i was in pretty good shape, but then i went down to 150 during the bout with mono and now im in at around 175-180, 6 years later. i got it from the girls. its funny because this one chickie i was pretty much in love with decided to break up with me, and i knew her best friend wanted me, so i let her have me, and then i went to a party two nights later and let another girl have me and then on monday i couldnt move very good, and while waiting for a buddy at another buddy's house, i fell asleep on the sidewalk... and thats when i knew something was wrong. needless to say i had three girls calling my house the following week asking me for symptoms.

i'm barely working when i'm working hard. once i posted on here while one of my clients was in my office... then i laughed, he asked why and i showed him. he thought it was funny, too.

...yeah, but its mostly the people in the small towns... they KNOW you're not from around there. especially in the states.
