  1. Ryan Dahle was supposed to fill in with the "Matthew Good Band" when Dave Genn left, but then Dave Genn came back... it was also just one date (in regina i believe), but it got cancelled anyway
  2. classic! ;)
  3. in DC++, click File > Settings. Make sure your username, email, description and all that is filled out. Also check that you have your IP entered if using Active, otherwise choose Passive. configure upload/download locations if you haven't already... now click the button on the top for Favourites (hover over them until you find it. should be the fourth one, but i use a different client). Once you're there, click New at the bottom. Fill out the hub address, add a short description, and add all your user info in there too. Click OK when you're done, and put a checkmark in the box (this will make it so you connect to the hub every time DC++ is opened, and you won't need to enter your password every time). highlight the hub, and click Connect at the bottom. you should see the connection message in the mainchat, and users should be in the right column. double-click someone's name to view their files and download them (note: if you use passive, you won't be able to download from other passive users - ones with a red brick wall by their name) may sound like a pain in the ass, but it's really not that hard. also, this is just a one-time procedure. you won't need to do it everytime you open DC++. If you still experience problems, visit the hub forum for help.
  4. I think Matt Good said it best during a radio interview a few months ago (referring to radio though -- same idea): "you get something for free, and you bitch about it" the hub has over 350 registered users who are able to follow rules easily enough. the rules are there to make it better for everyone else. if nobody shares, then obviously nobody's gonna find anything to download. i'm also very strict against leeching, and before those rules, that's what people used to do. so if nobody likes it... don't bother with it. move on.
  5. take a look here for band names http://homestarrunner.com/sbemail16.html
  6. its also fun when he tries to look retarded ;)
  7. the hub is not compatable with a lot of computers, and i can't afford to have 250mb of space on my computer taken up by something i don't use. It's helpful to be able to email/send songs to eachother, and get them off of NF and anywhere else there would be no point in even using the hub if you cant handle to share 250mb. its not a lot of space, and its to promote sharing over leeching. for anyone else... if you cant handle to share that much space, then you have no reason to use the hub in the first place and i dont see how its nazi. rules are in place to keep the hub fair for everyone. if you dont like it, go fuck yourself
  8. is it really that hard to fill out a fucking form? geez... people are stupider than i thought

  15. update: bootleg available on the hub now. good quality ;)
  16. this was released AFTER Avalanche. and its not a demo. the shorter version (the one used as the third single - no video) was the one released on the HOSAM site. the acoustic version was released on NationOfCool a couple months after the album release. Near Fantastica wasn't recorded in the basement demo's which you could find on the hub.
  17. 2002 is when Matt debuted the "new" band. in may, he played 2 shows in Vancouver and one in Cayuga. in the fall, he had an Ontario tour as well as one show in Halifax.
  18. my bad ;) i waited for 2 fucking hours by the bus and he never showed up. it was cold (8) Rabbits woulda been cool. Auf der Maur sucks. Limblifter had a great set though. I yelled to Megan that she was hot  no. i completely agree no. couldnt have said it better myself  i think thats enough quotes for one post
  19. guess i'm too late to help. you're already on  good luck with it. have fun, and remember to follow the rules ;)
  20. where's hamilton ;)
  21. to clear up confusion: all 3 colours came with the lyric booklet, and there were only 25,000 produced. 20,000 with AOB in the black cardboard box thingy (no matter what the colour of the cover), and 5000 were shipped with At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say during the same period. i got the white one with the lyric book. i liked black more, but figured white would be easier to sign whenever i have the chance to get it done ;)
  22. i have every MG bootleg ever recorded (and publicly released) it was played at the end of almost every show on the first leg of the 2003 Avalanche tour. it was always an acoustic tune untill WLRRR
  23. pretty decent show, despite waiting in the cold. Met up with a few other people, and had a pretty good time ;) Set: Blue Skies Over Bad Lands Weapon The Future is X-Rated Put Out Your Lights In Love With A Bad Idea The Rat Who Would Be King Alert Status Red North American for Life Buffalo Seven Hello Time Bomb Apparitions (solo acoustic) ----- Load Me Up / Carmelina Empty Road Can't Get Shot In The Back (If You Don't Run) I got 153 pics total (20 of each opener + the rest of MG) i'm too lazy to post more. apparently the bootleg is gonna be really good quality
  24. Don't worry about links on the MG-Hub site! I have no idea why the site isn't working for you. All you need to know is that the hub requires at least 250MB of MG material, and the address to connect to in DC++ is hub.bloodflame.com Once you're connected to the hub and registered, feel free to ask more questions if you have any trouble cheers ;)
