Regardless of what you want to call it, All Together is one of Matt's best songs ever that was not put on an album. It should certainly be on a future album in my opinion.
-
I've got two friends that I'm bringing with me to the T.O show that are new to Matt's music. The only music they've heard is Hospital Music, Avalanche, and Beautiful Midnight. now I can let them hear everything he might play at the show so they recognize it when they hear it. They are both really loving Running for Home so I hope there's still a chance of that being played even though it's off the list. Other than that I would prefer the surprise too.
-
he took out House of Smoke and Mirrors on the new one too. I was hoping to hear that song in T.O this time around. Along with Running for Home. Regardless, I'm pretty sure I won't leave disappointed as I never do. Like it has been said, Matt may have some things up his sleeve that we won't expect.

NF is the best song to open a show with. Even though I've seen him do it a few time I was still hoping for it again. And just to back up...I deffinatly meant that it sucks that NF is not included, the song is amazing.
-
ya, no Near Fantastica sucks, but I'm still really pumped. Running For Home would be amazing cause I haven't heard it live in ages. Same with house of Smoke and Mirrors. Advertising on Police cars is always great to hear too. Actually, I'd like to hear pretty much everything he's got on there.

Completely off topic, but I was just laughing to myself at how long I sat and watched you avatar to see if something else was going to happen.....Just give him the carrot dammit!!!
-
There was also "Dusk" and "Altogether" which in my opinion are two of his greatest demos ever. I'm really loving "Volcanoes".......just thought I'd let everyone know. I've never heard "teaser" so if anyone has it and can send it my way that would be great. [email protected] (sorry to throw that in there)

I wasn't speaking about "Philly fans" at all. Just people in general that can ruin a or take away from a show. I too sing along with Matt (I find it hard not to). What I hate is people talking - acting like they're in a club and Matt Good is the background music.
-
It's unfortunate how a bad crowd (or just a selected few) can effect a show. I was at a show in Barrie where people were talking thoughout - Matt actually commented on why people would pay to come in and talk to each other. Watching that video that someone posted on here recently of Champions of Nothing and the crowd was dead silent just shows respect for the artist and the music. I've always enjoyed listening to Matt talk. he really should have made that woman look like a jack ass in front of everyone, that would have been great. For all those going to the Toronto show in May, lets shut up and let him play and/or say whatever what he wants. It is his show after all.
-
Ya, Champions of Nothing will be amazing. That guitar solo before he goes into the final chorus is gonna be siiiiiick.
-
For sure there's a lot of songs that we want to hear but I have to agree I look forward to hearing Hello Time Bomb because of the way he does it live. And I've seen him many times too - it never gets old for me.
-
You're probably right. And I'm quite happy with that.
-
i'm talking about songs he will "likely" play. He is know to throw a few demos or songs that he is working on into the mix, but Annabelle has been around for a while and I doubt he's ever played it live.
-
Since there's been some talk about what songs Matt doesn't like, and which one's he may not remember how to play and so on, Which songs do you think he will most likely play when he tours with his band. I'm guessing Weapon, Near Fantastica, Giant (because the crowd will surely ask for it - and for good reason), and of course lots from Hospital Music.
-
All together is a great song. It would be cool to have it on an album in the future. Advertising on police cars, Sort of a protest song, man of action are my favorites, but there are really so many great songs on that album.
-
It REALLY wouldn't be the same without Pat - the guy's amazing. My girlfriend will miss Rich not being there though. Where did you get that info??
-
That's probably because people in Hamilton are mostly on welfare and spend their money on cigarettes and crack. I only know this cause I live in Hamilton. ;)

His shows is T.O are usually a bit more expensive than everywhere else (or more than smaller cities at least). I've paid many different rates for his shows. And I wasn't saying you're not a big fan or whatever, I guess I just think of $39 plus charges etc as an "affordable" price. Edit: 50 cent has a show in washington tickets are $100 + all charges etc. Spice girls tickets start @ $69 and go up to $119. I understand they are more well known but I also know who is better and who puts on a better show. These shows will certainly sell out too.
-
Haha. it's so true. And this is a Matt Good fan site. I figure majority on here are pretty serious MG fans and would pay pretty much whatever he would charge - I know I would and I've seen him 15 times already. Actually when you add that up at an average ticket price of $30 for both my girlfriend and I, that's $900 we've spent on shows together. Not to mention travel costs, parking, t-shirts, drinks at some shows, and purchasing all his albums, we've probably spent over $2000 on Matt Good. And I'd do it all again.
-
It's well worth it for a Matt Good concert. Especially considering what people pay for shows like Britney Spears where they watch an out of shape chick dance around and move her mouth to a recording.
-
How are people getting tickets before they go on sale?
-
Does anyone know if these shows are all ages or not??
