  1. hmmm.. I vaguely remember this now from earlier incarnations of boards. How is a greatest hits package justified though? Have I missed the slew of chart-topping singles?
  2. The big 1-0-0. Bask in my glory.
  3. The sun will still shine tomorrow. And besides, Matt Good has no fan base in Sweden, so I wouldn't worry about that.
  4. I just find it absolutely ironic that in every single election the Liberals cry about how the NDP is bed with the unions, and has all this union money at their disposal, and if the NDP is elected, the unions will take over the province, and other fear mongering like smearing a candidate for past union ties, when the Liberals have the exact same relationship with big business and actually get about twice the amount of money from them than what the NDP sees from unions. Why are unions so demonized in the political sphere, when big business is just as bad (or worse)?
  5. Yeah, what a fucker for making sure that at least some true fans got free tickets. Would you rather he did absolutely nothing about the whole situation?
  6. You nazi. Don't you know? Socialists = nazis. Everyone knows that. You commie. bahahaha thats rediculous! ridiculously true?
  7. Who is this? What's the Band's name? Kill the Dark? Panic?
  8. Silver Jews - Sometimes a Pony Gets Depressed
  9. The new single leaked recently, and it's umm.... interesting. I don't know. It's a new direction, I guess, but it seems like a massive giant train wreck. http://s29.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=39SLGL2...L90L73OJG4LLOZK
  10. My problem is that I buy the DVDs and they'll interest me for maybe about three months tops, and then I'll put them on a shelf never to touch them again. I'm having a hard time justifying spending all that money on them.
  11. Guided By Voices - Everyone Thinks I'm a Raincloud (When I'm Not)
  12. The Beatles - Sexy Sadie
  13. It's all MTV programming now anyways, and cheap Muchmusic programs that rip off MTV. MTV2 was apparently great for the first few years (they would play the randomest videos, and one time played their whole back catalogue from A-Z), but once it became really popular for not being MTV the advertisers jumped on it and killed it. The only show worth watching is The Wedge, and even thats lost its edge thanks to lacklustre selections and horribly repeated videos.
  14. Way too many...umm.. Catcher in the Rye is always nice. I love almost anything by Nick Hornby, Douglas Coupland, Kurt Vonnegut, Hunter S. Thompson, George Orwell. There's a book about the modern class systems whose title I forgot but that was really good. The Crying of Lot 49 keeps getting better every time I read it.
  15. aww, I thought this was gonna be an Electric Six thread. Fire In The Disco! Fire In The Taco Bell! Fire In The Disco! Fire In The Gates of Hell!
  16. I'd love to, but you'd be only cheating yourself out of a quality education. Who wrote the book on love?
  17. 1. Enjoy The Silence 2. Born to Kill 3. Saturday the 12th 4. Whispering in the Dark 5. Fall of Man 6. Prime Time Deliverance 7. The War is Over 8. Can't Get Shot In The Back 9. Weapon
  18. They had a few horns and strings for Letterman. Hence, 10 people. The link I had was dead now, and I have to leave in a hurry, but I'l YSI it when I get home.
  19. If I had a dollar for every time OLP has written a song about cancer, I'd be a very very rich man. Seriously, start singing about something else.
  20. Poor Strange Days. No votes. I almost feel sorry for it.
  21. Also a damn fine Decemberists album
  22. The ads on Teletoon say they're available wherever DVDs are sold, but they lie!
  23. Not from Toronto, but the best Vancouver show so far was LCD Soundsystem/M.I.A.
  24. Is it the same version that leaked earlier? anyone know?
