I...er...ah...is it getting hot in here?

I decided to part ways with this item, which I thought might be of some interest to the folks on here. I put this up at eBay just a couple minutes ago. It's the demo tape that the Matthew Good Band recorded before releasing Last of the Ghetto Astronauts. Obviously this is quite rare. I thought I would mention this on here since there would probably be a few people who might be interested in picking it up. Clcik here for the eBay listing!

Speaking of DSK, does anyone have a copy of Imploder floating around? I think Dobson leaked to the internet at some point, but I've never been able to track it down.

Nine Inch Nails

i thought Home was relatively boring for a NIN song. but then again, i'm a relatively boring person, so it's hard for me to judge music quality. -
i always make sure to take a wrench with me wherever i go. because you never know...

all i knows is, i miss the jackpillowhead. even though now it's appearing on the main site. jackpillowhead was less...political. sometimes. which was okay. sometimes.

Have a Nice Day, by the Stereophonics. the best is when the main character in the new Dawn of the Dead drives around and this song plays. -
i just heard that Creed broke up. which is awesome. except now Scott Stapp is working with The Tea Party. Dammit!
-
I saw them open for the Dears. Those two bands combined was the best show I've seen, hands down.
-
I remember reading on The Town Pump (which used to be on Die Popstar), that Blair Dobson was predicting that Matt will be dropped from his label due to the poor sales of Avalanche. Blair Dobson, of DSK, was relatively close with Matt, i think.
-
I remember the day that MGB broke up. It wasn't much of a surprise, what with all their turmoil, but it was still depressing.
-
i imagine it'll be a mixture of harder guitar-rock (ie, Put Out Your Lights) and more acoustic folk-rock (ie, Hopeless).
-
Running for Home is great, possibly because of the contrast between it and Born to Kill.
-
you're right.
-
i thought Raine Maida wrote all of Matt's songs...... and in case anyone thought i believed that...i was kidding.

Has anyone ever been to a show at the Red River Ex in Winnipeg? I've never been to it, and what with Matt playing there, I'll have to make my first ever venture there. I'm working on the assumption that the atmosphere is that of a whole lot of people standing there, not really understanding of who is playing. But i'm probably wrong.

i have only been to one. Copyright, The Watchmen, and a band that slips my memory opened for the MGB. It was in Winnipeg, at the Forks Canada day festival - totally free. This was the largest crowd they ever played at, something like 30 000 people. or maybe i'm wrong, i dunno. it was good, but had an excessive amount of drunks and mosh-pitters, which proved annoying.

Running for Home is pretty and makes me feel sad, in a good way.
-
this song is sizzilin', like a hot latino night. it loads me up, it does.
-
this song was originally on a cd put out by The Fox, no?
-
i rather like the video, partially because of it being a homage to Elephant, which was a fantastic movie.
