I'm an electrician from BC. I've considered going to Alberta before but then I realized that there is work in any big city and I'm quite happy in here(plus Vancouver is booming). I also hear that there is a ton of work up in places like Fort Mcmurray and up north but that's just not for me. I've got a few buddies up in Edmonton and they've got no complaints, seems like a good town if you don't mind the occasional shootings.

Usually I don't mind but for the case of Panic! At the Disco, I found about them a few months before their cd came out and really liked them. Now that they're becoming big on tv and radio and I'm seeing little emo thirteen year olds listening to them on the bus, singing their lyrics and quoting them. It really makes it hard to listen to their music without thinking about that. So I guess I fall into that category in some cases.

Thats funny because thats the same way I feel about Avalanche. I don't really find it impressive at all, while Suburbia is probably in my top five.

Did anyone pick up the DVD releases of Schism and Parabola which came out a few weeks ago? I'm trying to decide if they're worth getting. The video's are great and all but unless there is some nice chunk of bonus features, I don't think I'll be purchasing them anytime soon.

So this is a record of remixes in addition to original work? I remember your earlier stuff, remixing MGB songs and heard bits and pieces since then. So far I've liked what I heard, including a Thrice song I've found somewhere. Sounds like it would be interesting.

The Darkness - Hazel Eyes

Well this leaked a little while ago and it is by no means a weak album. So far I think I'm liking it more than Mezmerize. "Kill Rock 'N Roll", "Hypnotize", and "She's Like Heroine" are all really solid, among others. Plus "Vicinity of Obscenity" is just plain crazy. If you didn't like the guitar player singing more, like on last album, well you might not like this one because his voice is quite prevalent here as well but I think both their voices complement each other quite well. In my opinion this is a more accessible album but can easily stand up to previous ones.
