Technically, not a super hero. While Eddie Brock mostly focused his evil towards Spiderman whilst in possession of the symbiote, Mac Gargan (originally known as the Scorpion) has come into possession of the Symbiote and he is widely recognized as a villain. (that is, up until this civil war garbage that made Captain America a villain and Spiderman one of the most hunted people in the Marvel U)

As for Superhero, its a toss-up between Spider-man & Superman. Spider-man is cooler & is much more relatable. But Superman was the first superhero and has the ultimate super powers that anyone would want. He could kick Spidey's ass. Superman is just so iconic.
