Regina is brilliant. Saw her live last month and she was amazing... In fact, I shall put her on right now ;)

agreed, listening right now. Saw her on Letterman the other day, inspired me to steal her music.

 

As for suggestions, Sarah Harmer comes to mind

I pretty much liked every song. My favourite song was probably "Melt Your Heart."

 

Also if someone is still looking for female artist recommendations, I just got back into Everything But the Girl. It's a guy and a girl, but the female sings mostly. The album Amplified Heart is really ace in my opinion.

HOLY CRAP they are still around?? I remember they had a big hit like 15 years ago!

I don't think they're still making music now. I just found Amplified Heart in my basement and realized how good they were at one point - that album was from 1994, and the last they made is from 1999 which is Temperamental - not bad either.

 

And yeah, they had the song "Missing" (like the desert misses the rain or whateverthehell) which sucked, but oh well. ;)
