i've heard of all but one. that doesn't make me feel old. what makes me feel old is hearing soundgarden, alice in chains, nirvana and stp (among others) on classic rock stations.

the 90's were 7 years ago.

those bands listed on that page...i was 15/16 when they were big.

to quote Garth Brooks of all people, I am much too young to feel this damn old. ;)

The only one I'd never heard of was Serial Joe.

Serial Joe was a band made up of 14/15 year olds. they sang about girls and skateboarding and old people who are so lame.

they tackled the hard issues afflicting the youth of Canada.

God...still feel old...

EDIT: imagine The Moffatts a.new.beginning.jpg....but with a 'harder edge' pic31.jpg

and if you don't know who the Moffatts are either....Goddamn do I feel old

*eep* ;)

I only know Our Lady Peace. Moist and Pluto I've heard of but not very familiar with their music. The others I never heard of. Probably a Canadian thing.

Pluto is one of my top 5 bands today.

"Le Sigh"

and talking of the Moffatts, I have "misery...is what i feel...i what i feeeee-eeeelll" stuck in my head ;)

And Shiri, I can send you some Pluto if you're interested in hearing them

My friend was obsessed with the Moffatts in high school. She has informed me that one of them now works at the Gap, and is gay.

Serial Joe came into the movie theater where I worked and tried to get into a R rated movie. They got carded and were too young and said to the girl at the counter "We're Serial Joe don't you know who you are?" the girl replied "No and your too young for the movie Joe" Classic.

Yeah it did, they were playing a show the next night with another similar band that I can't think of the name right now but it could have been See Spot Run.
