Limblifter's a great band, but I think after Dave Patterson quit music and Brent Follett's become super busy with other projects, I think it was destined to happen that Ryan Dahle would do a solo album.

Each album they sound pretty different. There's a huge difference between Limblifter to Bellaclava, let alone between Limblifter and I/O or even Bellaclava to I/O.

I/O is just incredible. i hear a lot of Matt Good-Influence on it....probably because him an Ryan are (were?) friends while it was recorded.

Their stuff is incredibly generic but I love it.

I/O is one of my favourite albums ever. Probably because I listened to it during a weird part of life. You know how that goes.

Jumbo Jet Headache OWNS.

(Anton should use his powers and combine all the Limblifter threads into one big one.)

After going back and listening to both Bellaclava and self titled, I actually find myself thinking that Bellaclava is the best release they've put out.

Then again, even some of the semi weird demos they've put on myspace were pretty good.

i agree. Belaclava is a lot better listening to it now then it was when i bought it first.

I remember asking Ryan Dahle after a show why he used the demo version of Matt Good's vocals on Alarm Bells in I/O instead of recording new ones. He explained that it had to do with the fact that he wasn't seeing him very much at the time and that it was almost impossible for him to get Matt Good into the studio.

Ryan's solo album is apparently complete and has 12 songs I believe. Unfortunately we probably won't hear it until late spring to early summer.
