Shade's Album Upload Topic

[sodamntired]

was i right with the 80's references?

[soundless_space]

Definitely... but the singer reminded me TOO much of David Byrne at times.

[soundless_space]

New Pumpkins leaked in case anyone was interested... I'm afraid to listen.

[shade]

laugh out loud, upload imo

[soundless_space]

Haha alright. Might be a while though. My internet sucks.

[shade]

eh no rush really....I'm planning on watching some lame cartoons, then crying and cutting.

so my schedule is too busy for making fun of bands that used to be good.

[soundless_space]

Ya it just told me the estimated upload time was a really long time. Fuck that. Here's where I found it. I fixed tags and such on the one I downloaded, but if there are anal people like me they can do it themselves.

So far the only track I don't like is just Tarantula. It's not bad.

[Shiri]

I actually like Tarantula so I wonder if I'll like it. Thanks for the heads up, I'll go download it right now.

[bryce]

It's not bad. It feels a lot like Zwan and his solo album, so it's hard for me to really distinguish it in my head as a Pumpkins album.

At the same time, this album is more like SD and MC than any album since, however I actually prefer the later Smashing Pumpkins work, so this stuff didn't really wow me right away like I was hoping it would.

The vocals are mixed too high which kind of bothers me.

United States owns.

I think United States is one of the best tracks. That and Bleeding the Orchid were probably me favourites.

Overall I like it. It didn't blow me away or anything but it was nice.

[shade]

I'm not impressed.

[Audio of Being]

It has its moments, United States was awesome, the rest of the cd is meh at best.

[Shiri]

Listening to it now, only five songs from the beginning, liking it so far.

[soundless_space]

I pretty much had low expectations for it to begin with... my only requirement to like it was that the other songs didn't sound like Tarantula.

Oh, for Azalroth I think... I found this link for Mooney Suzuki-Maximum Black EP a few albums down. Thought you might be interested. http://dickdarlington.blogspot.com/
